This book was sweet, funny and super hot! I liked that she was the grampie one and he was the sunshine – I haven't read many books where this trope appears in reverse. 💪
Also, it's not a heavy book, but still deals with important topics like body image and eating disorders, depression and toxic relationships. 🤍
It was definitely fun, but I could have enjoyed it a lot more if it hadn't been so damn long!!!!!! 🙈
There were so many parts where nothing happened, and the plot just dragged on. Plus, Nate must have a split personality… this is the only thing that can explain the inconsistency in his behavior and talking – when he's outside the bedroom (sweet and thoughtful) and inside the bedroom (dominant and dirty). It felt like two different characters to me (something that also happened in 'The Love Hypothesis', but that book had only one spicy scene…) 😬
But mainly, it had way too many secondary characters! (I realize that the author is planning a basis for a very long series, but lady, we don't need to know everyone in the first book!) 🙈

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it – I was even surprised to find out that it was Grace's first book… but I probably came to it with too high expectations (DAMN YOU, BOOKTOK!) 😂
So if you liked Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series, this should be your next book! 🤍🤍🤍

נייט הוקינס, קפטן נבחרת ההוקי, הוא בדיוק הסחת הדעת שהיא לא צריכה, אך עקב מתיחה שהשתבשה, אנסטסיה ונייט נאלצים לחלוק משטח החלקה, ולאחר שבן זוגה נפצע, נייט עולה להיות מחליף שלו. 🤍
כשהמטרות שלהם נמצאות ממש בהישג ידם, התאהבות היא רעיון רע… אך ככל שהם מבלים יחד, לשמור את הרגשות (והידיים שלהם) לעצמם, מרגיש כמו משימה בלתי אפשרית. 💥

הספר הזה מתוק, מצחיק ולוהט בטירוף! אהבתי שהיא הייתה הגראמפית והוא דווקא היה הסנשיין – לא יצא לי לקרוא הרבה ספרים שהטרופ הזה מופיע בצורה הפוכה. 💪
כמו כן, זה לא ספר כבד, אך עדיין עסק בנושאים חשובים כמו דימוי גוף והפרעות אכילה, דיכאון ומערכות יחסים רעילות. 🤍
הוא בהחלט היה מהנה, אבל יכולתי ליהנות ממנו הרבה יותר אם הוא לא היה כל כך ארוך, לעזאזל!!!!!! 🙈
היו כל כך הרבה חלקים בהם כלום לא קרה, והעלילה סתם נגררה. בנוסף, לנייט בוודאי יש פיצול אישיות… זה הדבר היחיד שיכול להסביר את חוסר העיקביות בהתנהגות והדיבור שלו – כשהוא מחוץ לחדר השינה (מתוק ומתחשב) ובתוך חדר השינה (דומיננטי ומלוכלך). זה הרגיש לי כמו שתי דמויות שונות (משהו שקרה גם ב-'ההיפותזה של האהבה', אבל שם הייתה רק סצנה ספייסית אחת…) 😬
אבל בעיקר, יש בו יותר מידי דמויות משניות! (הבנתי שסופרת מתכננת בסיס לסדרה מאוד ארוכה, אבל גברת, לא צריך שנכיר את כולם כבר בספר הראשון!) 🙈

שלא תטעו, נהניתי ואני בהחלט ממליצה – אפילו הופתעתי לגלות שהוא רומן ביכורים… אבל כנראה הגעתי אליו עם ציפיות גבוהות מידי (לעזאזל איתך, בוקטוק!) 😂
