I was waiting to read Jasper's story because his past intrigued me in the previous books. I mean, is there anything better than a quiet, big man with a mysterious past…? 😂
And sure enough, his story was gut wrenching!!! Jasper was a wonderfully flawed hero, just the way I like them. However, Sloane was a likable character, but… that's it. 🙈
Oh wait, who the hell can I talk to for us to get a book about Harvey? The Eatons father is probably the real MVP in this series and my favorite character! 😂💪👑
📚 "Harvey: Two rooms or one? 😉
Jasper: Don't be weird. One room, two beds.
Harvey: I'm not weird. You're the one with a crush on your cousin.
Jasper: She's not my cousin.
Harvey: Huh! But you didn't deny the crush." 📚
What I didn't like is that compared to the previous books, in which the chemistry between the heros was hot AF… electrifying… on the verge of an atomic explosion… in this book, the chemistry between the characters was, ummm… just MEH. 😬
Plus, Elsie writes very daring hot sex scenes. But they didn't work for me here, because personally, I don't like Spice scenes where the guy needs to be the "dominator". While I understand his need to control, as someone who has never had control over his life, it's just not my thing… 🤷♀️

Overall, this was probably my least favorite book in the series, but it was definitely a good one. 💜
I love Elsie's writing, the world she created and the diverse characters that come together to form one big family… and now I'm curious who the next book will be about! 🙏
This is the third book in the series (Flawless, Heartless, Powerless). Each book is about different characters, but there is a connection between the books and it is recommended to read in order.
• I listened to the audiobook, which was great. The narrators did a great job, but in the parts where the POV was in past tense, the narration was echoed, on purpose of course, but all I could think to myself was – "Did Teddy narrate this part while he was in the bathroom…?" 😂

חיכיתי לסיפור של ג'ספר כי העבר שלו מאוד סיקרן אותי בספרים הקודמים. הרי יש יותר טוב מגבר שקט וגדול עם עבר מסתורי…? 😂
ובהחלט, הסיפור שלו שבר לי את הלב!!! ג'ספר היה גיבור פגום להפליא, בדיוק כמו שאני אוהבת אותם. לעומתו, סלואן הייתה דמות חביבה, אבל… זהו. 🙈
אבל רגע רגע, עם מי אפשר לדבר כדי לקבל ספר על הארווי, לעזאזל? האבא של האיטונים הוא כנראה הגיבור האמיתי של הסדרה הזו והדמות האהובה עליי ביותר! 😂💪👑

מה שלא אהבתי הוא שבהשוואה לספרים הקודמים, בהם הכימיה בין הגיבורים הייתה כל כך לוהטת… מחשמלת… על סף פיצוץ אטומי…. בספר הזה, הכימיה בין הדמויות הייתה רק, אמממ… מהא. 😬
בנוסף, אלזי תמיד כותבת סצנות סקס מאוד נועזות, אך לי באופן אישי זה פחות עבד הפעם, כי אני לא מתחברת לסצנות ספייס בהם הבחור חייב להיות "השולט". אמנם הבנתי את הצורך שלו, בתור אדם שמעולם לא הייתה לו שליטה על חייו, אבל זה פשוט לא עושה לי את זה… 🤷♀️

לסיכום, זה כנראה הספר שהכי פחות אהבתי בסדרה, אבל בסך הכל זה בהחלט היה ספר טוב. 💜
אני אוהבת את הכתיבה של אלזי, את העולם שיצרה והדמויות המגוונות שמתחברות יחד למשפחה אחת גדולה… ועכשיו אני סקרנית על מי יהיה הספר הבא! 🙏
זה הספר השלישי בסדרה (Flawless, Heartless, Powerless). כל ספר על דמות אחרת עם סוף סגור, אך יש קשר בין הספרים ומומלץ לקרוא לפי הסדר.

• הקשבתי לספר באודיו, שהיה מצויין. הקריינים עשו עבודה מעולה, אבל בחלקים בהם נקודת הזמן הייתה בעבר, הקריינות הייתה עם הד, בכוונה כמובן, אבל כל מה שהצלחתי לחשוב לעצמי הוא – "האם טדי קריין את החלק הזה בזמן שהיה בשירותים…?" 😂
