Daisy's father forces her to marry. She has to stay married for six months or she won't get her inheritance, and since she's already in huge debt, she has no choice but to agree to marry Alexander Markov, an arrogant and grumpy circus manager. 💥
She's afraid of him. He thinks she's just spoiled, and of course, these two hate each other at first sight… but then, in the setting of the circus, they get to know each other. 🎪

This book has been waiting on my TBR list for years… I think I waited so long because it's written in the third person, and also, because I was afraid it would be outdated (the book was published in 1996!!!) – but let me tell you… it absolutely stands the test of time, and I can't believe I waited so long! 💙💙💙
The characters are round and believably developed (especially Daisy), the writing is great – with lots of funny, painful, and romantic moments… but most importantly? The story takes place in the circus! Like, could it get any better?? 😂
All in all, this is a story of redemption and love – if you missed old romance (old, but not outdated), and you want to experience the world of the circus (with vibes of "The Greatest Showman") I definitely recommend it. 🎪
And on a personal note… this book made me miss (even more) my friend, Kinneret Meir, who would have absolutely demanded to know all the spoilers, but would have read it and fallen in love with this story along with me. Love you and miss you. RIP. 💔

הספר הזה חיכה ברשימת הקריאה שלי במשך שנים… אני חושבת שחששתי להתחיל אותו בגלל שהוא כתוב בגוף שלישי, וגם, בגלל שחששתי שהוא יהיה מיושן מידי (הספר פורסם בשנת 1996!!!) – אבל תנו לי להגיד לכם… הוא בהחלט עומד במבחן הזמן ואני לא מאמינה שחיכיתי כל כך הרבה זמן לשמוע אותו! 💙💙💙
הדמויות עגולות ומתפתחות בצורה אמינה (במיוחד דייזי), הכתיבה נהדרת – עם המון רגעים מצחיקים, כואבים, רומנטיים ומרגשים… אבל הכי חשוב? הסיפור מתרחש בקרקס! כאילו, זה יכול להיות יותר טוב?? 😂
לסיכום, זהו סיפור של גאולה ואהבה – ואם התגעגעתם לרומנטיקה של פעם (ישנה, אבל לא מיושנת), ובא לכם לחוות את עולם הקרקס (עם וויבים של "The Greatest Showman") אני בהחלט ממליצה עליו. 🎪
ובנימה אישית… הספר הזה גרם לי להתגעגע (אפילו יותר) לחברתי, כנרת מאיר ז"ל, שלגמרי הייתה דורשת לדעת מראש את כל הספויילרים, אבל הייתה קוראת אותו ומתאהבת בסיפור הזה יחד איתי. אוהבת אותך ומתגעגעת אלייך. 💔
