Evan Zanders is a hockey star who has been playing the bad boy character for years. He learned to provide the hockey club and his fans with what they know and love, even if that's not really who he is… 💙
Stevie is a flight attendant in Zanders team plane and despite the sexual tension and attraction, she's aware of his reputation, and has no interest in becoming another one of his conquests and putting her job at risk… which makes Zanders want her even more. 💥
Over time, Stevie gets to know the real Zanders, and Zanders realizes that Stevie is the kind of woman worth ruining his reputation for. But can he even do it…? 😱

I heard so much about this book, I had to try it myself… and after finishing it, I can understand the hype. 💙
I loved the idea of the story (and that the author is a flight attendant herself ✈️), the interaction between the characters (their first meet made me laugh out loud 😂). I loved that they had instant attraction but not insta-love, and their emotional bond made me hope for a happy ending… plus, the smut was EPIC! 🔥
I loved the characters: MMC who presents himself as an arrogant playboy, even though he's not really one, and a strong FMC who struggles with insecurities about her body (one of my favorite scenes was the one where he tries to show her how beautiful she is, all of her, despite the parts she doesn't like about herself. I listened to this part twice!) 😍🤌🥰
📚 "You don’t have to love your body every single day. That’s unrealistic to expect, but I’ll be here loving it for the days you can’t." 📚
What I didn't like is that the book is ridiculously long (almost 17 hours in audio). Tell me, what is the deal with new authors writing such long books without any point?? (ahem ahem, Hannah Grace) And why the hell aren't they edited…? 🤦♀️
There were so many unnecessary, unimportant and boring parts that sometimes I found myself daydreaming, and I had no desire (or need) to go back and hear what I missed, because it wasn't really important to the plot. 😬

All in all, if this book was shorter (much shorter), it would probably get 5 stars, but it was too exhausting for me. 🤷♀️
One thing for sure, before I start the second book in the series (I heard it's better), I'll check its page count first… 😂

שמעתי המון על הספר הזה, שהייתי חייבת לנסות בעצמי… ואחרי שסיימתי, אני יכולה להבין את הבאז סביבו. 💙
אהבתי את הרעיון של העלילה (ושהסופרת היא בעצמה דיילת ✈️), את האינטראקציה בין הדמויות (המפגש הראשון שלהם גרם לי לצחוק בקול 😂) אהבתי שהייתה להם משיכה מיידית אבל לא אינסטה לאב, לכן הקשר הרגשי שנבנה ביניהם גרם לי לקוות לסוף טוב עבורם. וכמובן… הסמאט היה אפי! 🔥
אהבתי את הדמויות: גיבור שמציג את עצמו כפלייבוי שחצן, למרות שהוא לא באמת כזה, וגיבורה חזקה שנאבקת בחוסר ביטחון לגבי מבנה גופה (אחת הסצנות האהובות עליי הייתה זו שהוא מנסה להראות לה כמה היא יפה, כולה, למרות החלקים שהיא לא אוהבת בעצמה. הקשבתי לקטע הזה פעמיים ברצף!) 😍🤌🥰

מה שלא אהבתי הוא שהספר ארוך בצורה מגוכחת (כמעט 17 שעות באודיו). תגידו לי, מה הקטע של סופרים חדשים לכתוב ספרים כל כך ארוכים בלי שום פואנטה?? (אהמ אהמ, האנה גרייס) ולמה הם לא עוברים עריכה, לעזאזל…? 🤦♀️
היו כל כך הרבה חלקים מיותרים, לא חשובים ומשעממים שלפעמים מצאתי את עצמי חולמת בהקיץ, ולא היה לי חשק (או צורך) לחזור אחורה ולשמוע מה פספסתי, כי זה לא באמת היה חשוב לעלילה. 😬

לסיכום, אם הספר היה קצר יותר (הרבה יותר), הוא כנראה היה מקבל ממני 5 כוכבים, אבל זה פשוט היה מתיש מידי בשבילי. 🤷♀️
מה שבטוח, לפני שאתחיל את הספר השני בסדרה (שמעתי שהוא יותר טוב), אבדוק קודם את כמות העמודים שלו… 😂
