לקריאת הסקירה בעברית – תגללו למטה!
Although I wrote this 5 years ago, I just bought the perfect shirt to describe my thoughts about this book, so it's about time I finally post my review, right…? 😂🙈
Tori has no luck with men. Her world turned upside down after she discovered that her boyfriend, Jamie, has a double life – and is actually married with kids, so she decides to avoid relationships. 💙
📚 I'm that girl.
Again.
The one who loses control and veers off the road.
Untethered and in moored.
Reckless. 📚
Eitan's world is also shaken. He's a farmer who's about to divorce his wife and be left with his two kids. His wife left them and returned to the big city, to the life she always wanted. 💔
Eitan needs a nanny, so Tori moves in with him for the semester break. At first, they don't get along, but of course they have an electrifying chemistry and a crazy attraction. 🙄
But Tori needs a job and wants to be close to her pregnant sister and Ethan desperately needs a nanny… 🐎
📚 "I start to wonder, if he's that gentle with his daughter, maybe he's the type of man who could be gentle with my heart too." 📚
The only thing good about this book was Ethan. Dedicated, honest, sweet, hardworking… and covered in tattoos! His love for his children melted my heart. 💙
But when I got to 74%, I've had enough. 😂
I started rolling my eyes – until my head hurt so much, that I decided to give up. 😂
I didn't like Tori. She acted like a rag – even though Eitan described her as fisty, she really wasn't… not at the very beginning of the book, when she found out she was the "second woman" and her boyfriend pushed her into a closet so his wife wouldn't find out – so Tori just sits quietly and watched them have sex (WTF?!) 😱
Not in front of her disdainful parents… not when she thought Eitan wasn't interested and answered in a quiet and sad voice that "she's only good at being the babysitter"… and not when Eitan's (almost) ex-wife called her a whore. 😱
Just, no! All I wanted was to grab her by the collar of her shirt and shake her up!!!! 🤪
📚 "If that experience with Jamie taught me anything, it's that guys like Ethan don't settle down with girls like me. I'm a fun fuck. A good time. A way to burn off steam or sow some wild oats. Not a forever girl. Not someone you keep." 📚
Plus… their relationship was not at all believable. All I could think to myself was that…hell, she must be his rebound girl! 😂
Eitan is lonely, but there is no way it will last (mainly because she took on the role of the wife and mother, even before he signed the divorce papers, so…) 🤷♀️🤦♀️
It's a story (full of clichés) about a lonely single father and a heartbroken young nanny – and how they complement each other and become a family, despite all the difficulties along the way. 💙🐎
Just between us? I've read similar books that were much better… 🙈
This is the second book in the series. I haven't read the first one.
אמנם כתבתי את זה לפני 5 שנים, אבל קניתי השבוע את החולצה המושלמת בשביל לתאר לכם מה חשבתי על הספר, אז הגיע הזמן שאפרסם סוף סוף את הסקירה שלי, לא…? 😂🙈
לטורי אין מזל עם גברים. עולמה התהפך לאחר שגילתה כי בן זוגה, ג'יימי, מנהל חיים כפולים – והוא בעצם נשוי עם ילדים, לכן מחליטה להמנע ממערכות יחסים. 💙

גם עולמו של אית'ן התערער. הוא חוואי שעומד להתגרש מאישתו ונשאר לבדו עם שני ילדים. אשתו עזבה אותם וחזרה לעיר הגדולה, אל החיים שתמיד רצתה. 💔
איתן צריך מטפלת, לכן טורי עוברת לגור איתו למשך חופשת הסמסטר. בהתחלה, הם ממש לא מסתדרים, אבל כמובן שיש ביניהם כימיה מחשמלת ומשיכה מטורפת. 🙄
אך טורי צריכה עבודה ורוצה להיות קרובה לאחותה ההריונית ואית'ן זקוק נואשות לאומנת… 🐎

הדבר היחיד שהיה טוב בספר הזה הוא אית'ן. מסור, ישר, מתוק, חרוץ… ומכוסה בקעקועים! האהבה שלו לילדיו המיסה אותי. 💙
אבל כשהגעתי ל- 74% איבדתי את זה. 😂
התחלתי לגלגל עיניים – עד שכל כך כאב לי הראש, שהייתי חייבת לנטוש. 😂
לא חיבבתי את טורי. היא התנהגה כמו סמרטוט – למרות שתוארה ע"י אית'ן כ- fisty, היא ממש לא הייתה לוחמנית… לא ממש בתחילת הספר, כשגילתה שהיא ה"אישה השנייה" ובן זוגה דחף אותה לארון כדי שאישתו לא תגלה – אז טורי פשוט יושבת בשקט וצופה בהם שוכבים (WTF?!) 😱
לא מול הוריה המזלזלים… לא כשחשבה שאיתן לא מעוניין בה וענתה בקול שקט ועצוב ש"היא טובה רק בלהיות הבייביסיטר"… ולא כשאישתו (הכמעט) לשעבר של איתן, קראה לה זונה. 😱
בקיצור, לא! כל מה שרציתי זה לתפוס אותה מהצווארון של החולצה ולנער אותה כהוגן!!!! 🤪

וגם… הקשר שלהם לא היה אמין מבחינתי. כל מה שחשבתי לעצמי הוא ש…פאק, היא בטוח רק הריבאונד שלו! 😂
אית'ן אמנם בודד, אבל אין מצב שזה יחזיק מעמד (בעיקר כי היא נכנסה לתפקיד האישה והאימא "המחליפה", עוד לפני שחתם על מסמכי הגירושין, אז…) 🤷♀️🤦♀️
זה סיפור (מלא בקלישאות) על אב יחיד בודד ואומנת צעירה שבורת לב – ואיך הם משלימים אחד את השני והופכים למשפחה, למרות כל הקשיים שבדרך. 💙🐎
בינינו? קראתי ספרים דומים שהיו הרבה טובים יותר… 🙈
שימו לב: זה הספר השני בסדרה. לא קראתי את הספר הראשון.
