The first book will forever be one of my favorite, one that left a mark on my heart. So when I heard that there was a second book, of course I had to read it… 🤍

It had sweet and moving, infuriating and happy moments. I enjoyed knowing a little more about Atlas's history and how he grew up. 💙
But the truth is that it ruined the unforgettable impact of the first book, the whole "it end with us" thing and the meaning of that sentence, because in the second book – nothing really ends. 🤨
The violence isn't over… (although not physically, but it's still violence) Lily still lives in fear (for herself and now for her daughter too) and despite the optimistic ending, when a violent man feels frustrated and angry and betrayed by his ex, guess who his next victim usually is… 💔
📚 "Sometimes people think if they love a broken person enough, they can be what finally repairs them, but the problem with that is the other person just ends up broken, too." 📚
Plus, the second half of the book felt like Colleen was writing just to fill pages… Everything was rushed, there wasn't much chemistry and the story wasn't very deep. 🙈
All in all, was this book necessary? Probably not, but I did enjoy it, it just felt like a really really REALLY long epilogue. 😂🤷♀️

הספר הראשון לנצח יהיה בין הספרים האהובים עליי, כזה שהשאיר חותם בלב שלי. לכן כששמעתי שיש ספר במשך, כמובן שמיהרתי לקרוא אותו… 🤍
**עלול להכיל ספויילרים**
היו בו רגעים מתוקים ומרגשים, מכעיסים ומשמחים. נהניתי לדעת קצת יותר על ההיסטוריה של אטלס ואיך הוא גדל. 💙
אבל האמת היא שהספר קצת הרס לי את האימפקט הבלתי נשכח של הספר הראשון, כל ה- "איתנו זה נגמר" והמשמעות של המשפט, כי בספר השני – שום דבר לא באמת נגמר. 🤨
האלימות לא נגמרה… (אמנם לא פיזית, אבל זו עדיין אלימות) לילי עדיין חיה בפחד (על עצמה ועכשיו גם על הבת שלה) ולמרות הסוף האופטימי, כשגבר אלים מרגיש מתוסכל וכועס ונבגד על ידי האקסית, נחשו מי בדרך כלל הקורבן הבא שלו… 💔

בנוסף, מהחצי השני שלו הרגשתי שקולין כותבת סתם כדי למלא עמודים… הכל היה מהיר, לא הייתה הרבה כימיה וסיפור לא היה מאוד עמוק. 🙈
לסיכום, האם הספר היה מיותר? כנראה, אבל כן נהניתי, הוא פשוט הרגיש לי כמו אפילוג ממש ממש ממש ארוך. 😂🤷♀️
