Rina Kent is an international bestselling author of everything enemies to lovers romance.
Darkness is her playground, suspense is her best friend, and twists are her brainโ€™s food. However, she likes to think sheโ€™s a romantic at heart in some way, so donโ€™t kill her hopes just yet.
Her heroes are anti-heroes and villains because she was always the weirdo who fell in love with the guys no one roots for. Her books are sprinkled with a touch of mystery, a healthy dose of angst, a pinch of violence, and lots of intense passion.
Rina spends her private days in a peaceful town in North Africa daydreaming about the next plot idea or laughing like an evil mastermind when those ideas come together.

We are so excited to have you in our 'Ask our favorite author' questionnaire!

Hey! Thank you so much for having me!

1. Share something your readers wouldnโ€™t know about you.
I don't think I mentioned this much before, so most of my readers don't know that I'm a polyglot. I speak three languages fluently and five others in a variety of stages.

2. If you didnโ€™t write, what would you do for a living?
Medical research.

3. How do you select the names of your characters?
Most of them come on a whim, but sometimes, I research some qualities in my characters and name them accordingly.

4. Which subject you'd never write about? What do you consider taboo?
I don't really consider anything taboo. I just read what I like and steer clear from what I don't. As for what subject I'll never write, that would be bestiality, necrophilia and incest.

5. What's the best book you've read recently?
The Hero by Lee Child.

6. If one of your books could become a movie – which one would you choose?
This is a hard one, but probably Black Knight.

7. Where do go to get inspired?
Inspiration comes to me in different forms. It's not exactly one place or state of mind. I get inspired by music, paintings, films and all sorts of art. However, most of my inspiration comes from my dreams and sometimes, nightmares.

8. Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?
I stopped reading my reviews for a long time now. My assistant forwards me some good ones that touch and inspire me. As for bad ones, I like the ones with constructive criticism. I believe that's how all creatives grow.

9. There's good news and bad news – who is the first author friend you call?
Definitely CL Mathews.

10. Finally, Tell us about your future project – What can you share about it?
My next project is different from my previous books. While there was always suspense in my previous work, this one is a bit heavy on the mystery/thriller side. The relationship between the two main characters toys on the forbidden line, too.
