לקריאת הסקירה בעברית – תגללו למטה!
I like to read good books (who doesn't?) But when I read a book that shakes my world, it's hard for me to write a review… How can I explain how much I enjoyed it? How can I do it justice? 😱
This is the first book I devoured since I gave birth… I just could not stop – it was so good!!!
📚 "They're still beating. As long as they're beating, we're okay." 📚
The story begins when Cora and Dean, her sister's fiancée – sworn enemies for 15 years who always abuse each other – were kidnapped. 💥
They spend three awful weeks in a psychopath's basement, where red lines were crossed. Despite everything, they form a deep and unexpected bond born from pain and hope. But what happens when they are rescued? Will they be able to go on with their lives as they were before the abduction? 🖤🙏
This is a tragic and beautiful love story that deals with post-trauma and recovery. I read it with bated breath and enjoyed every moment – the hard experience they went through, their pranks in the past and the way they coped after the nightmare was over (or in their case, just started…) 💥

I LOVED the world the author built – the story did not fall into clichés and there wasn't a single moment of unreliability. 👏
I admit I was apprehensive about the sister's fiancé trope because there is nothing like family and especially the bond between sisters… Of all the hard things described, the only time I cried was when Cora and her sister confronted. It BROKE me! 😭💔
I was mostly worried about the first sex scene – but I was surprised at how believable and realistic it was. 🙏
It's rare for a book to sweep me from beginning to end – but this one managed to get into my 'must–read' list. I definitely found a new author to stalk. YAY! 👑🎉
I listened to the audio version (which was awesome! 👏).

אני אוהבת לקרוא ספרים טובים (מי לא?) אבל כשאני קוראת ספר שמרעיד את עולמי, קשה לי לכתוב עליו סקירה… איך אוכל להסביר כמה נהניתי? איך אעשה לו צדק?? 😱
זה הספר הראשון שגמעתי מאז הלידה… פשוט לא הצלחתי לעצור – זה היה כל כך טוב!!!

הסיפור מתחיל כאשר קורה ודין, ארוסה של אחותה – אוייבים מושבעים כבר 15 שנים שתמיד מתעללים אחד בשני – נחטפים. 💥
הם מבלים שלושה שבועות איומים במרתף של פסיכופט, שם קווים אדומים נחצים. למרות הקשיים, הם יוצרים קשר עמוק ובלתי צפוי שנרקם מכאב ותקווה. אבל מה יקרה כאשר יינצלו? האם יוכלו להמשיך בחייהם כפי שהיו לפני החטיפה? 🖤🙏
זה סיפור אהבה טרגי ויפהפה העוסק בפוסט טראומה והחלמה. קראתי אותו בנשימה עצורה, ונהניתי מכל רגע – מהחוויה הקשה שהם עברו, מהתעלולים שעשו זה לזה בעבר ומהדרך שעברו אחרי שהסיוט נגמר (או במקרה שלהם, רק התחיל…) 💥

אהבתי את כתיבת העלילה המדויקת – הסיפור לא נפל לקלישאות ולא היה רגע של חוסר אמינות. 👏
אני מודה שחששתי מהטרופ (הארוס של האחות) כי אין כמו משפחה ואין כמו קשר בין אחיות… מכל הדברים הקשים שתוארו, הפעם היחידה שבכיתי היה בעימות של קורה עם אחותה. זה שבר אותי! 😭💔
דאגתי בעיקר מסצנת הסקס הראשונה – אבל הופתעתי מכמה שהיא הייתה אמינה ומציאותית. 🙏
נדיר שספר סוחף אותי מתחילתו ועד סופו – אבל הוא הצליח להתברג לרשימת ספרי 'חובת הקריאה' שלי. איזה כיף שמצאתי סופרת חדשה לעשות לה סטוקינג! 👑🎉
