This is the first audio I have finished since the twins were born. It took me fucking 5 months (well, I was busy 🤪🤷♀️) – but it took me longer to write this review, because I didn't know how to explain how amazing this book is… 💚

Monique Grant, a junior journalist was summoned by Evelyn Hugo, the infamous movie star from the 1950s, to do an exclusive interview. 😱
The 70-year-old Evelyn who is now a loner, will talk to Monique and only Monique, for reasons no one knows. She tells her her life story – about lies, scandals, sex and forbidden love. 💥🎬
This is Evelyn's story and her way to fame, the seven men she married, and the only love story that ever mattered… 💚
Evelyn Hugo is a person I loved to hate – she is a liar, manipulative and selfish. I adored her in one sentence and hated her in the other – but ended the book as a HUGE fan. ❤👏👑
I loved the representation of the LGBT and all the words of wisdom (which I really wanted to put in the review, but that would have made it too long! 😂) I loved the scandalous Hollywood vibe, the touching moments and tragedies… I needed to remind myself that this is fiction and not a real biography! I even googled her a few times… 😂

The only thing that bothered me is that I wish I was more connected to the rest of the characters (especially Monique's story, which was pretty dull). Unfortunately, they did not interest me (except for Harry, who broke my heart! 😭)
This is not an ordinary novel, this is a journey – and it's unlike any other book I've ever read. It's a masterpiece! 👑
This book made me fall in love with reading all over again after a long time that I did not feel like reading. 🙏💚
I want to buy Evelyn's green dress and go with it to the premiere of the movie based on this book (someone need to produce it ASAP!!!) 🎬
I listened to the audio version (which was just perfect! The narrator did an AMAZING job!!! 👏).

זה האודיו הראשון שסיימתי מאז שנולדו התאומים. לקח לי פאקינג 5 חודשים (בכל זאת, הייתי עסוקה 🤪🤷♀️) – אבל לקח לי יותר זמן לכתוב את הסקירה, כי לא ידעתי להסביר כמה הספר הזה מדהים… 💚

מוניק גראנט, עיתונאית זוטרה מקבלת זימון מאוולין הוגו, כוכבת הקולנוע הידועה לשמצה משנות ה-50, לראיון בלעדי. 😱
אוולין בת ה-70 וחיה כיום כמתבודדת, תדבר עם מוניק ורק עם מוניק, מסיבות שאף אחד לא יודע. היא מספרת לה את סיפור חייה – על שקרים, שערוריות, סקס ואהבה אסורה. 💥🎬
זהו הסיפור של אוולין עד לתהילה, שבעת הגברים איתם התחתנה בדרך, וסיפור האהבה היחיד שהיה חשוב אי פעם… 💚
אוולין הוגו היא אדם שאהבתי לשנוא – היא שקרנית, מניפולטיבית ואנוכית. הערצתי אותה במשפט אחד ותיעבתי אותה במשפט השני – אבל סיימתי את הספר כמעריצה ענקית שלה. ❤👏👑
אהבתי את ייצוג הלהט"ב ואת כל משפטי החוכמה (שממש רציתי להכניס לסקירה, אבל זה היה הופך אותה לארוכה מדי! 😂) אהבתי את האווירה השערורייתית ההוליוודית ואת הרגעים המרגשים והטרגדיות… אבל בעיקר אהבתי כמה שהסיפור הרגיש חי, אמיתי ומציאותי – הייתי צריכה להזכיר לעצמי שזו בדיה ולא ביוגרפיה אמיתית! בחיי שאפילו חיפשתי אותה בגוגל כמה פעמים… 😂

הביקורת היחידה שלי היא שהלוואי והייתי מתחברת יותר לשאר הדמויות (הסיפור של מוניק, למשל, הרגיש סתמי לחלוטין). לצערי, הם לא עניינו אותי (חוץ מהארי, ששבר לי את הלב! 😭)
זה לא רומן רגיל, זה מסע – והוא לא דומה לשום ספר אחר שקראתי. הכתיבה, בניית הדמויות והעלילה הייתה פשוט מופתית! 👑
הספר הזה גרם לי להתאהב שוב בקריאה אחרי תקופה ארוכה שלא התחשק לי לקרוא כלום.🙏💚
אני רוצה לקנות את השמלה הירוקה של אוולין וללכת איתה להקרנת הבכורה של הסרט שמבוסס על הספר הזה (שמישהו יתחיל להפיק את זה כבר!!!) 🎬
