Gwendolyn moves to a new town with her two children, Kelsey and Daniel, hoping the change of scenery will cure them from their tragedy. 6-year-old Daniel is happy and full of life, but 8-year-old Kelsey suffers from selective mutism – she blames herself for her father's death and has not spoken since his funeral, except at night, when she's alone, whispering her prayers. 💔

This is a tragic, but touching story. The connection formed between Alexander and little Kelsey nearly made me cry… 😭❤ I loved it even more than the romance itself!
Because of the tragedies, this book is pretty heavy… and it's understandable – I just wish there were some more humorous moments to make the plot a little lighter. Plus, I was very curious to find out Alexander's story – and after it revealed, I felt he was punishing himself too much… I wanted to shake him up and yell "Get it together man, damn it!!!" 😂
This is a story about healing, second chance and dealing with loss and pain… but also about hope and love. ❤
Despite the things that bothered me, I enjoyed it a lot. I felt it was a combination of "Ugly Love" and "Archer's Voice" – only its heroes were more mature (YAY!) – so if you like broken, outcast and tortured characters like I do – this is definitely the book for you !!! ❄❄❄

נשמה מעונה פוגשת משפחה שבורה…
האם הם יכולים לרפא זה את זה? או שאולי האשמה תעצור אותם מלהמשיך הלאה? 💥💥💥

זה ספר טראגי, אבל מרגש – הקשר שנוצר בין אלכסנדר לקלסי הקטנה הרג אותי… 😭❤ הוא אפילו יותר ריגש אותי מהרומן עצמו!
בגלל הטרגדיות, הספר דיי כבד… ואפשר להבין – רק חבל לי שלא היה בו יותר רגעי הומור כדי לגרום לעלילה להיות קצת יותר קלילה. בנוסף, הייתי מאוד סקרנית לגלות מה הסיפור של אלכסנדר – ואחרי שזה התגלה, הרגשתי שהוא מעניש את עצמו קצת יותר מידי… רציתי לנער אותו ולצעוק "צא מזה כבר גבר, נו באמת!!!" 😂
זה סיפור על ריפוי והזדמנות שנייה – העוסק באובדן וכאב, אך גם בתקווה ואהבה. ❤
למרות הדברים שהפריעו לי, נהניתי מאוד. הרגשתי שהוא שילוב של "אהבה מכוערת" ו"קולו של ארצ'ר" – רק שהגיבורים בו בוגרים יותר (יאי!) – אז אם אתן אוהבות דמויות שבורות, מנודות ומעונות כמוני – זה בהחלט הספר עבורכן!!! ❄❄❄
