This is the second book in the 'Twin Lies' duet and the plot continues exactly from where the first book ended – and damn, after that brutal ending, the waiting was long… VERY LONG!!! 😱💥💙

📚 "𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎." 📚

To be honest, I felt like I was reading 3 different books: The first part was full of suspense and mysterious… The second part was good, but it had parts that made me roll my eyes – like the love/hate relationship between Baz and Mackenzie- their distrust and lack of communication at one point felt like an unnecessary drama (how can you cuddle with someone in bed and pour your heart out, and then say you don't trust him…?) 😟
However, my main problem was with the third part, which wasn't logical or realistic. 😬

While I did get answers about the night Madison died, I felt that lots of parts remained unsolved – for example, Mackenzie's relationship with her parents and the disgusting way they treated her, compared to her twin (who was not as perfect as we thought…) 💥

Mackenzie and Madison's relationship was also unclear – they seemed to be in competition and not that close in the years leading up to her death, so everything Mackenzie went through for her in the past 9 years was wired to me… 😟

Plus, the confrontation ended to fast. I expected a huge explosion, but it did not happen. 😭

While I liked this book less than the first one, I still enjoyed it because of one thing – Baz King. 👑
Oh, this man, DAMN IT!!! 😍😍😍
Yes, he was a bit of cliche with that "your mine" caveman's vibe – but he was also powerful, intense, intelligent, dominant, compassionate, loyal and so HOT!
When he opened up and gave us a glimpse of the real him, under that serious cold man – he made me fell more and more in love with him… 💙👑

If I had to rate the entire duet – it would get 4.5 stars from me – so if you like romantic suspense romances, this is a great duet – full of surprising secrets, lies and twists! 💥
And oh, I wonder what that ending means… 😱

זהו הספר השני בדואט 'Twin Lies' והעלילה ממשיכה בדיוק במקום בו הסתיים הספר הראשון – ולעזאזל, אחרי הסיום הברוטלי שלו, הציפייה הייתה ארוכה… מאוד!!! 😱💥💙

אם לומר את האמת, הרגשתי כאילו אני קוראת 3 ספרים שונים: החלק הראשון היה מותח, מצמרר ומסתורי… גם החלק השני היה מותח, אבל היו בו גם חלקים שגרמו לי לגלגל עיניים – למשל, יחסי האהבה/שנאה, חוסר האמון וחוסר התקשורת בין באז ומקנזי, שבשלב מסויים הרגישו כמו דרמה מיותרת (הרי איך אפשר להתקרבל עם מישהו במיטה, לשפוך בפניו את הלב, ואז להגיד שאת לא סומכת עליו…??) 😟
אבל הבעיה העיקרית שלי הייתה עם החלק השלישי, שלא היה כל כך הגיוני ומציאותי. 😬

אז אמנם קיבלתי תשובות על מה שקרה בלילה בו מדיסון מתה, אבל הרגשתי שהתשובות לא היו מספקות ושנשארו חלקים לא פתורים – למשל, הקשר של מקנזי עם הוריה והיחס המגעיל שקיבלה מהם בהשוואה לאחותה (שלא הייתה כל כך מושלמת כמו שנתנו לנו לחשוב…) 💥

גם הקשר של מקנזי ומדיסון לא היה ברור – נדמה היה שהן תמיד היו בתחרות ולא אחיות קרובות בשנים שלקראת מותה, מה שהעמיד את כל מה שמקנזי עברה בשבילה ב-9 השנים האחרונות, בסימן שאלה גדול. 😟

בנוסף, הדרך לעימות המיוחד הייתה איטית – ועד שסוף סוף הרגע הגיע, הכל נגמר מהר מידי. ציפיתי לפיצוץ אדיר, אבל זה לא קרה. 😭

אמנם אהבתי את הספר פחות מאשר הספר הראשון, אך נהניתי בגלל דבר מרכזי אחד – באז קינג. 👑
אוח, הגבר הזה, לעזאזל!!! 😍😍😍
כן, הוא היה קצת קלישאתי עם הוויב של איש המערות – אבל הוא גם עוצמתי, אינטנסיבי, אינטילגנטי, דומיננטי, רחום, נאמן וכל כך לוהט!
כשהוא נפתח ונתן לנו הצצה לאדם האמיתי, מתחת לחזות הרצינית והקרה – נמסתי, ובכל פרק התאהבתי בו יותר ויותר… 💙

אם הייתי צריכה לדרג את הדואט כולו – הוא יקבל ממני 4.5 כוכבים – אז אם את חובבת רומני מתח רומנטיים, זה דואט נהדר מלא בסודות, שקרים וטוויסטים מפתיעים! 💥
ואני לגמרי סקרנית לדעת מה פשר הסוף הזה… 😱
