Nolan returns home after an incident that ruined his career as a famous violinist. He had a rough childhood with unsupportive parents and bullying at school, so he only expected to be home for a short time, but his parents fell into debt and he decides to get a job to help them, but his reputation prevents him from being hired anywhere, exept for the wildlife sanctuary run by his old high school crush. 🧡
Dallas is no longer the golden boy he was in high school. He is a broken man who is vilified by the townspeople because they believe he caused the death of his parents when he drove drunk… an accident that left him mute. 💥
It's a story about two broken men who come together and manage to nurse each other's wounds. 🙏

I loved the "Archer's Voice" vibe, the broken characters (especially Dallas)… I loved the connection between them… the passionate writing, the high angst and emotional issues. 🧡
What I didn't like is that as a mute man, I expected Dallas to communicate in sign language – and not by pointing and note writing. 🙈🤷♀️
There were also quite a few over the top and illogical dramas… but most of all, both of their problems were solved by other people, or just work out by themselves… I think their happy ending would have been much more satisfying for me if they had worked a little for it. 😬
All in all, it wasn't a perfect book, but it was definitely enjoyable. I think that it will be perfect for beginners in the MM genre. 🧡🧡🧡

נולאן חוזר הביתה לאחר תקרית שהרסה לו את הקריירה ככנר מפורסם. הייתה לו ילדות קשה עם הורים לא תומכים וביריונות בבית הספר, לכן ציפה להיות בבית רק לזמן קצר, אך הוריו נקלעו לחובות והוא מחליט למצוא עבודה כדי לעזור להם, אבל המוניטין שלו מונע ממנו להתקבל לעבודה בשום מקום, מלבד מקלט חיות הבר המנוהל על ידי הקראש הישן שלו מהתיכון. 🧡
דאלאס כבר לא ילד הזהב שהיה בתיכון, הוא אדם שבור שמושמץ על ידי אנשי העיירה מכיוון שהם מאמינים שהוא גרם למות הוריו כאשר נהג שיכור… תאונה שהשאירה אותו אילם. 💥
זה סיפור על שני גברים שבורים שמתחברים יחד, ומצליחים לאחות את הפצעים אחד של השני. 🙏

אהבתי את הוויב של "קולו של ארצ'ר" שיש לספר, את הגיבורים השבורים (בעיקר דאלאס)… אהבתי את החיבור המרגש שנוצר ביניהם… את הכתיבה הזורמת והעלילה האמוציונלית. 🧡
מה שלא אהבתי הוא שבתור גיבור אילם, ציפיתי שיתקשר בשפת הסימנים – ולא דרך הצבעות, כתיבת פתקים וחידות. 🙈🤷♀️
בנוסף, היו בעלילה גם לא מעט דרמות מוגזמות ולא הגיוניות, אך יותר מהכל, כל הבעיות שלהם נפתרו על ידי אנשים אחרים, או פשוט הסתדרו מעצמם. אני חושבת שהסוף הטוב שלהם היה הרבה יותר מתגמל עבורי, אם הם היו קצת מתאמצים בשבילו. 😬
לסיכום, זה לא היה ספר מושלם, אך הוא בהחלט היה מהנה. לדעתי, יתאים במיוחד למתחילות בז'אנר ה-MM. 🧡🧡🧡
