Eden's life turned upside down at the beginning of high school, after that night when her brother's best friend raped her, and everything that was once simple, simply changed… 💥
Edy knows she should tell someone what happened to her, but she struggles with fear and guilt, so she buries it. Along with that night, she also buries who she used to be…💔

This was a painful survival story about the traumatic aftermath of rape, and it was one of the most powerful, emotional, and heartbreaking books I've ever read that stayed with me long after I finished. 🙏

📚 "He's not the hero and he's not the enemy and he's not a god. He's just a boy. And I'm just a girl, a girl who needs to pick up her own pieces and put them back together herself." 📚

I loved that the story was so real. All the wrong decisions, the dark thoughts… these are things that absolutely happen after such a trauma. Maybe these are high school-aged characters, but it can happen to any woman at any age. 💥
I loved the author's sensitive, raw, and unique writing. 🙏
But what I loved most was that Edy's story is painful, but also full of hope – and so important… especially in these crazy days we live in, when suddenly rape victims are being doubt. I finished it with a sigh of relief… 💙

The only thing that bothered me (besides the young age of the characters) was that this book is considered a novel, but I didn't feel it, because the novel was not at the center of the story, it wad quite secondary. The center was Edy's survival story, so I totally understand why the readers *demanded* the author to write the sequel… and I can't wait to read that, too. 🙏

חייה של אידן התהפכו בתחילת התיכון, לאחר אותו לילה בו החבר הכי טוב של אחיה אנס אותה, וכל מה שהיה פעם, פשוט השתנה… 💥
אידי יודעת שהיא אמורה לספר למישהו מה קרה לה, אבל היא נאבקת בפחד ואשמה, אז היא קוברת את זה. וביחד עם הלילה ההוא, היא קוברת גם את מי שהייתה פעם…💔

זהו סיפור הישרדות כואב על תוצאות הטראומה של אונס, והוא אחד הספרים החזקים, הרגשיים ושוברי הלב שקראתי אי פעם, שנשאר איתי הרבה אחרי שסיימתי. 🙏

אהבתי שהסיפור הרגיש כל כך אמיתי. כל ההחלטות השגויות, המחשבות החשוכות… אלו דברים שלגמרי קורים אחרי טראומה כזו. אולי מדובר בדמויות בגיל תיכון, אבל זה יכול לקרות לכל אישה, בכל גיל. 💥
אהבתי את הכתיבה הרגישה, הגולמית והמיוחדת של הסופרת. 🙏
אבל הכי אהבתי שהסיפור של אידי אמנם כואב, אבל גם מלא תקווה – וכל כך חשוב… במיוחד בימים המטורפים בהם אנחנו חיים, שפתאום היום לא מאמינים לקורבנות אונס. סיימתי אותו באנחת רווחה… 💙

הדבר היחיד שהפריע לי (מלבד גילן הצעיר של הדמויות) זה שהספר אמנם נחשב לרומן, אבל אני לא הרגשתי את זה, כיוון שהרומן לא היה מרכז הסיפור, אלא דיי משני. העלילה מתרכזת סביב סיפור ההישרדות של אידי, לכן אני לגמרי מבינה מדוע הקוראות *דרשו* מהסופרת לכתוב את ספר ההמשך… ואני לא יכולה לחכות לקרוא גם אותו. 🙏
