The plot was admittedly slow at first, and I didn't really understand where the story was going (for the life of me, I thought it was going to be some kind of Gothic Harry Potter 😂) but it picked up speed later on. I loved the development of the characters and found myself falling madly in love with Ollie along with Mia (Brits totally do that to me! 😂) I even found myself sitting with eyes glistening with tears from all the revelations and secrets… 💔
What I didn't like was that sometimes I felt the plot was too mature for characters their age, and sometimes it was too childish. There wasn't much consistency… 🙈
Plus, the ending was silly and totally bummed me out because the general plot line was quite realistic (except for that place, which no medical institution would approve 😂).
Like, what drugs make that happen?? (And if this wonder drug does exist, is it possible to bring me some, just in case? 😜)
This is the first book in a trilogy and ends with a cliffhanger. I definitely intend to continue to the next books to see where the plot will develop (I heard the story only gets better) 💥
Just pay attention to the triggers because the book is heavy and could be a bit depressing. 🖤

מיה נשלחת מביתה באמריקה אל אנגליה, לפנימיה לנוער בסיכון. כבר שנים שהיא רדומה… לא יודעת להביע רגשות, להכיל או אפילו להראות אותם, עד שהיא פוגשת את אוליבר מאסטרס. 💥
הם הפכים, היא לא מרגישה כלום – והוא מרגיש הכל. אוליבר אמנם גרם לה להרגיש, אבל אולי זה מה שישבור אותם? ואולי עדיף כבר לא להרגיש כלום…? 🖤

העלילה אמנם איטית בהתחלה, ולא ממש הבנתי לאן הסיפור הולך (בחיי שחשבתי שזה הולך להיות סוג של הארי פוטר גותי 😂) אבל הוא תפס תאוצה בהמשך. אהבתי את התפתחות הדמויות ומצאתי את עצמי מתאהבת בטירוף באולי יחד עם מיה (בריטים לגמרי עושים לי את זה! 😂) אפילו מצאתי את עצמי עם עיניים מנצנצות מדמעות מכל הגילויים והסודות… 💔
מה שלא אהבתי הוא שלפעמים הרגשתי שהעלילה בוגרת מידי בשביל דמויות בגילם, ולפעמים היא הייתה ילדותית מידי. לא היה הרבה עקביות… 🙈
בנוסף, הסוף היה מטופש וגרם לי להתבאס, כי קו העלילה הכללי היה דיי מציאותי (חוץ מהמקום הזה, ששום מוסד רפואי לא היה מאשר 😂). כאילו, איזה תרופות גורמות לכזה דבר לקרות?? (ואם תרופת הפלא הזו אכן קיימת, האם אפשר שמישהו יביא לי כמה כדורים שיהיה לי בארון למקרה הצורך? 😜)
זה הספר הראשון מתוך טרילוגיה ונגמר במתח, אז אני בהחלט מתכוונת להמשיך לספרים הבאים כדי לראות לאן העלילה תתפתח (הבנתי שסיפור רק משתפר) 💥
מה שכן, שימו לב לטריגרים, כי הספר כבד ועלול להיות קצת מדכא. 🖤
• תורגם לעברית ע"י הוצאת 'לבבות'. 🔤
• הקשבתי לספר באודיו באנגלית, שהיה נפלא, במיוחד החלקים של אולי (מבטא בריטי, כבר אמרתי?)
• קריינות ע"י לילי דרייק & מייקל גלאגר. 🎧
