Surprisingly, I decided to take on vacation a book in Hebrew… and not just any book in Hebrew, but a debut novel of dark fantasy. 💥
After finishing this book, I completely understand why Nica was crowned the queen of Israeli romantic fantasy. She wrote a great suspenseful, sensual and surprising dark fantasy romance. I still can't believe it was written by an Israeli author! And a debut novel no less! And what a developed imagination (and also a bit scary 😂) this woman has! 👑

Although at first it was a little hard for me to connect to the story (I didn't understand what was going on), but after a few chapters, I was completely drawn into the plot… I felt like I was going on a thrilling adventure with the characters into a magical world. 💥💥💥

I loved the development of the characters (all of them, there wasn't one unnecessary character 💪), the strong female characters, the emotion, pain, depth and insights woven into the writing, the references to mythologies, the surprising twists (every time I was sure I knew where the story was going – I was wrong 💥) and especially the amazing cover, which is so suitable for the plot! ❤️

Although there were parts where I struggled with writing, because it felt a little childish… but since it's a debut novel (I'm still shocked by it 😂), it didn't stop me from enjoying it.

All in all, the choice to take this book with me on vacation was incredibly accurate. The magical views of the fjords totally contributed to my enjoyment. If you like fantasy books, I highly recommend! ❤️❤️❤️

Note: I read the book Hebrew, so I don't know what the translated version is like, but this book has an English translated version: The Horseman of Death.

החלטתי לקחת איתי לחופשה באופן מפתיע, ספר בעברית… ולא סתם ספר בעברית, אלא רומן ביכורים של פנטזיה אפלה. 💥
אחרי שסיימתי את הספר הזה, אני לגמרי מבינה למה ניקה הוכתרה למלכת הפנטזיה הרומנטית הישראלית. היא כתבה סיפור פנטזיה אפל נהדר, מותח, חושני ומפתיע. מי היה מאמין שזה ספרות מקור?? ועוד ספר ביכורים! ואיזה דמיון מפותח (וגם קצת מלחיץ 😂) יש לבחורה הזו! 👑

אמנם בהתחלה היה לי קצת קשה להתחבר לסיפור (לא ממש הבנתי מה קורה), אבל אחרי כמה פרקים פשוט נשאבתי לתוך העלילה… הרגשתי שאני יוצאת יחד עם הדמויות להרפתקה מטלטלת בעולם קסום. 💥💥💥

📚 "כוחה האמיתי של אהבה – לסלוח, לראות מעבר לכאב, לשנאה, לכעס, לנקמה. לראות את כל אשר רק הלב מצליח לראות בדרכו המיוחדת והכנה ביותר." 📚

אהבתי את ההתפתחות של דמויות (כולם, לא הייתה דמות אחת מיותרת! 💪), את הדמויות הנשיות החזקות, את הרגש, הכאב, העומק והתובנות שנשזרו בכתיבה, את האזכורים למיתולוגיות, את הטוויסטים המפתיעים (בכל פעם שהייתי בטוחה שאני יודעת לאיזה כיוון הסיפור הולך – טעיתי💥) ובעיקר את הכריכה המדהימה, שכל כך מתאימה לעלילה! ❤️

אמנם היו חלקים בהם היה לי קשה להתחבר לכתיבה, או שהיא הרגישה לי קצת ילדותית… אבל כיוון שזה ספר ביכורים (אני עדיין בהלם מזה 😂) זה לא הפריע לי ליהנות.

בקיצור, הבחירה לקחת את הספר הזה איתי לחופשה הייתה מדויקת. הנופים הקסומים של הפיורדים לגמרי תרמו להנאה שלי. אם אתם אוהבים ספרי פנטזיה, אני ממליצה בחום! ❤️❤️❤️
