Holy shit, this is without a doubt one of the craziest, most screwed up books I've ever read… and I couldn't put it down. Nothing good happens in this book, and yet, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

📚 "Not all romance is pretty, and not all romance is love. Simple as that." 📚
This is no love story. I mean, there is love – but it's dangerous, obsessive and destructive. 🖤
I won't write about the plot because you should go in blind (but read the triggers, because this book takes the definition of "dark" to another level, and it won't suit most sane people 😂) – I'll just say that the heroine has a destructive obsessive personality and the hero (he's NO hero 🤪) is a sick psychopath, who experienced a terrible trauma that made him who he is, but of course that doesn't justify anything he did. 🙈
📚 “I just need to find someone that will obsess over me the way I obsess over them.” 📚
While reading, I found myself in a huge conflict… because I can't say that I fell in love with the characters or God forbid, identified with them – because this book is so wrong!!! So immoral!!! So disturbing!!! But one that I simply couldn't stop reading, even when there were parts that were difficult to read, even for me. 🖤
The author definitely did a research on obsessive personality disorder, psychopaths and victims of sexual abuse, because (almost) everything was very believable. 👏
All in all, this is one of the darkest books I've ever read, but it also made me feel so many emotions. I wish it could have ended differently, but there is no perfect ending for these characters and their obsessive and destructive romance (although maybe it was "too easy" 🤷♀️)

After I finished, I saw comments that the author based the character on a real person – and everyone got really angry and downgraded her, but come on, every book is like that. 🤷♀️
Each character and plot is based on someone the author knows or heard of… and their job is to develop (and exaggerate it) into a complete story.
Although this one is not exactly flattering, to say the least, but again, it's just an IDEA in a book………. 📖
הולי שיט, זה ללא ספק אחד הספרים המטורפים והדפוקים ביותר שקראתי אי פעם, ולא יכולתי לעזוב אותו מהרגע שהתחלתי. שום דבר טוב לא קורה בספר הזה, ובכל זאת, פשוט לא יכולתי להניח אותו!!!

אין כאן סיפור אהבה. זאת אומרת, כן יש פה אהבה – אבל היא מסוכנת, אוסססיבית והרסנית. 🖤
אני לא אכתוב על העלילה כי את הספר הזה צריך לקרוא על עיוור (אבל תעשו לי טובה, תקראו את הטריגרים, כי הספר הזה לוקח את ההגדרה של "אופל" לרמה אחרת, והוא לא יתאים לרוב האנשים השפויים 😂) – רק אספר שהגיבורה היא בעלת אישיות אובססיבית הרסנית והגיבור (גיבור אעלק 🤪) הוא פסיכופת חולני, שאמנם עבר טראומה נוראית שהפכה אותו למי שהוא, אבל זה כמובן לא מצדיק את מעשיו. 🙈

בזמן הקריאה מצאתי את עצמי בקונפליקט ענקי… כי אי אפשר להגיד שהתאהבתי בדמויות או חלילה, הזדהתי איתן – כי הספר הזה כל כך לא בסדר!!! כל כך לא מוסרי!!! כל כך מטריד!!! אבל הוא כזה שפשוט אי אפשר להפסיק, גם כשהיו חלקים שהיו קשים לקריאה, אפילו עבורי. 🖤
מה שבטוח, בהחלט נעשה מחקר מעמיק על הפרעת אישיות אובססיבית, על פסיכופתים ועל נפגעי פגיעה מינית, כי (כמעט) הכל היה מאוד אמין. 👏
לסיכום, זה אחד הספרים האפלים ביותר שקראתי, אבל הוא גם גרם לי להרגיש כל כך הרבה רגשות. הלוואי והוא היה יכול להיגמר אחרת, אבל אין סוף מושלם יותר לדמויות האלה ולרומנטיקה האובססיבית וההרסנית שלהן (למרות שאולי זה היה "קל מידי" 🤷♀️)

אחרי שסיימתי ראיתי תגובות על כך שהסופרת ביססה את הדמות על אדם אמיתי – וכולם ממש התרגזו והורידו לה את הדירוג, אבל… כל ספר הוא כזה. 🤷♀️
כל דמות וכל עלילה מבוססות על מישהו שהסופר מכיר או שמע עליו… והתפקיד שלהם הוא לפתח (ולהקצין את זה) לסיפור שלם.
אמנם פה זה לא בדיוק מחמיא, בלשון המעטה, אבל שוב, זה רק רעיון בתוך ספר………. 📖
