Jimenez wrote a great story about heroes you can't help but love and a dilemma that would break your heart. She managed to combine humor with real-life struggles, wonderful characters (even the secondary ones 😍), sexual tension, a gentleman hero (I wish my husband would take care of me like him during period cramps), a sarcastic heroine (although a bit annoying) and… a dog! 🥰
I loved the writing style and the plot pace, I laughed out loud, I cried out loud and I was definitely left with a taste for more… so much so, that I had to purchase the Hebrew translated edition as well, to let my sisters and mother read and fall in love with it with me. 💙💙💙

Despite that, there were also things that didn't work for me: especially the heroine. I still haven't decided what I think about her… 🙈
Josh described her several times as a light and drama-free girl, but Kristen's life is actually one big drama! (with her boyfriend, her mother, her career… and not to mention her health condition). She had kept such a big secret from him, yet when Josh found out, he reacted like a fairy tale prince and she became even more dramatic. 🤦♀️😬
Plus, Josh was a bit too perfect and the ending felt too rushed… still, I totally recommend this book, which reminded me that even in books with a happy ending, not everyone gets to have happily ever after, so we should cherish every moment with the people we love. ❤️

לכן, למרות המפגש הראשוני הלא כל כך נעים, קריסטן וג'וש צריכים לבלות יחד לא מעט… מהר מאוד הם מגלים שהם דווקא מסתדרים מצויין ויש להם כימיה נהדרת, אבל לא רק שלקריסטן יש חבר, היא גם מסתירה מג'וש סוד גדול. 💥

אוקיי, מצאתי עוד סופרת שאני רוצה לעשות לה סטוקינג! 😂💪
חימנז כתבה סיפור נהדר על גיבורים שאי אפשר שלא לאהוב ודילמה ששוברת את הלב. היא הצליחה לשלב הומור עם מאבקים מהחיים האמיתיים, דמויות נפלאות (גם המשניות 😍), מתח מיני, גיבור ג'נטלמן (הלוואי שבעלי יטפל בי ככה בזמן כאבי המחזור), גיבורה סרקסטית (למרות שגם קצת מרגיזה) ו… כלב! 🥰
אהבתי את סגנון הכתיבה ואת קצב העלילה, צחקתי בקול, בכיתי בקולי קולות ובהחלט נשארתי עם טעם של עוד… עד כדי כך, שהייתי חייבת לרכוש גם את המהדורה המתורגמת, כדי לתת גם לאחיותיי ואימא שלי לקרוא ולהתאהב בו יחד איתי. ❤️

ולמרות זאת, היו גם דברים שלא עבדו לי: בעיקר הגיבורה. עדיין לא החלטתי מה אני חושבת עליה… 🙈
ג'וש הגדיר אותה כמה פעמים כבחורה קלילה ונטולת דרמה, אבל החיים של קריסטן הם למעשה דרמה אחת גדולה! (עם החבר שלה, ביחסים עם אמא שלה, בקריירה שלה… ושלא נזכיר את המצב הבריאותי שלה). היא הסתירה ממנו סוד כל כך גדול, ולמרות זאת כאשר שג'וש גילה, הוא הגיב כמו נסיך מהאגדות והיא הפכה אפילו לעוד יותר דרמתית. 🤦♀️😬
בנוסף, ג'וש היה גבר קצת מושלם מדי והסוף הרגיש נמהר מדי… ועדיין, אני לגמרי ממליצה על הספר הזה, שהזכיר לי שגם בספרים עם סוף טוב, לא כולם חיים באושר ועושר, ולכן צריך להוקיר כל רגע עם האנשים שחשובים לנו. ❤️
• קראתי את הספר באנגלית, אך הוא תורגם לעברית ע"י הוצאת 'ונוס'. 🔤
