This was the second book in the series, but because I don't read blurbs, I only found out after I finished it… 😂🤦♀️
Clay Johnson dreams of two things, making it to the NFL and marrying his high school sweetheart. He may be at the top of his game in college, but surprisingly, his girlfriend breaks up with him, leaving him angry and upset. 💔
Gianna is the public relations assistant for the football team. She is in love with a musician, but has no idea how to get his attention. 💚
And so, Clay makes up a plan where he will teach Gianna how to get the guy of her dreams and she will help make his ex-girlfriend jealous. Sounds simple, until their pretense becomes reality… 💥

It was lovely story that will make you smile. Funny, hot and fun… I loved that their relationship ignited slowly, first as friends. I loved that Clay read Gianna's books to get tips on what she likes. I loved his dirty mouth (it was definitely one of the best things in this book)… and of course, I loved their kissing practice – it was HOT!🔥🔥🔥

"Those things are like a treasure map. Just follow the tabs and highlights to find the pot of gold." 📚
On the other hand, the plot was very fast and did not always make sense. It had many deep parts (like the heroes' backstories) that were not touched on too much, and it's a shame, it would have given a unique depth to the story… and, there were a lot of unresolved issues. 😳
Plus, the premise of the book was that Clay wants his ex back – but as a broken man who was willing to do anything to get her back to him… he forgot about her so quickly, it made me laugh my ass off!! 😂😂😂
Don't get me wrong – I don't need drama, but I expect the book to be consistent. 🤷♀️
Plus, there was no epilogue… instead, there was only an introduction to the next book, and dammit, I needed an epilogue!!! 😂

All in all, it was a fun book, but I probably would have liked it a lot more if I had read it 4 years ago… If you liked "The Deal" (by Elle Kennedy) you will also enjoy this book, because there were a lot of similarities in my opinion. 💚💚💚

זה אמנם היה הספר השני בסדרה, אבל בגלל שאני לא קוראת תקצירים, גיליתי את זה רק אחריי שסיימתי… 😂🤦♀️
קליי ג'ונסון חולם על שני דברים, להגיע ל-NFL ולהתחתן עם אהובתו מהתיכון. הוא אמנם בפסגת המשחק שלו בקולג', אבל באופן מפתיע, חברתו נפרדת ממנו, מותירה אותו כועס ונסער. 💔
ג'יאנה היא עוזרת יחסי הציבור של קבוצת הפוטבול. היא מאוהבת במוזיקאי, אבל אין לה מושג איך למשוך את תשומת לבו. 💚
וכך, קליי רוקח תוכנית בה הוא ילמד את ג'יאנה להשיג את בחור חלומותיה והיא תעזור לגרום לחברתו לשעבר לקנא. נשמע פשוט, עד שהעמדת הפנים שלהם הופכת למציאות… 💥

זה היה סיפור מקסים שמעלה חיוך. משעשע, לוהט וכייפי… אהבתי שהקשר שלהם התלקח לאט, קודם כחברים. אהבתי שקליי קרא את הספרים של ג'יאנה כדי לקבל טיפים על מה שהיא אוהבת. אהבתי את הפה המלוכלך שלו (זה ללא ספק היה אחד הדברים הכי טובים בספר)… וכמובן, אהבתי את אימוני הנשיקות שלהם – זה היה לווווהט!🔥🔥🔥

מצד שני, העלילה היתה מאוד מהירה ולא תמיד הגיונית. היו הרבה חלקים עמוקים (כמו סיפורי הרקע של הגיבורים) שלא נגעו בהם יותר מידי, וחבל, זה היה נותן עומק מיוחד לסיפור… וגם, נשארו המון עניינים לא פתורים. 😳
בנוסף, הנחת היסוד של הספר היא, שקליי רוצה את האקסית שלו בחזרה – אבל בתור גבר שבור שהיה מוכן לעשות הכל כדי להחזיר אותה אליו… הוא שכח ממנה כל כך מהר, שזה גרם לי להתגלגל מצחוק!! 😂😂😂
שלא תבינו לא נכון – כמה שפחות דרמה, יותר טוב, אבל כשאני קוראת על קו עלילה מסויים, אני מצפה שהוא לפחות יהיה עקבי. 🤷♀️
בנוסף, לא היה אפילוג… במקום, היתה רק הקדמה לספר הבא, ולעזאזל, רציתי אפילוג!!! 😂

לסיכום, זה אמנם ספר קליל כייפי, אבל כנראה שהייתי עפה עליו הרבה יותר אם הייתי קוראת אותו לפני 4 שנים… אם אהבתם אם "העסקה" (של אל קנדי) אתם תהנו גם מהספר הזה, כי לדעתי היו המון נקודות דימיון. 💚💚💚
• הספר זמין כרגע באנגלית בלבד, אך יתורגם בהמשך ע"י הוצאת 'ספרות שנוגעת'. 🔤
• הקשבתי לספר באודיו באנגלית – שהיה מעולה.
