I give it serious thought for a moment. “Honestly? I’m just badass like that.” 📚
I really, really don't like reading BDSM books. So how did I give this book 5 stars…? Oh, great question! 😂
It has mature and experienced characters (finally not another poor virgin girl), the most unusual FMC ever – positive and optimistic, but also sassy with a big mouth. It has a mobster alpha male MMC with an Irish accent (uhhhh the audio 🔥) with secrets up his sleeve… It has a perfect representation of 'opposites attract' and also, there's a great plot twist (I didn't see it coming!) 💪
Plus, the banter and arguments between them were great – and I mean whole chapters where I burst out laughing!!! Something that hasn't happened to me since "That Guy" (by Kim Jones). 😂
📚 “I’m sorry. I must’ve heard you incorrectly. Did you just suggest I tell my best friend that you”—she looks me up and down—“are the love of my life?”
“You heard me.”
“So you want me to lie to her.”
I tilt my head and gaze at her through half-lidded eyes.
“Sorry, gangster. Smolder all you want, but she’s the love of my life.”
I’m gone for three days, and she forgets who she’s dealing with. “I see. So you’d like Kazimir to cut off my balls and choke me to death with them?”
When she blanches, I smile. “That’s his specialty. Russians are so dramatic.”
“You’re blackmailing me. This is emotional blackmail!”
“It is. I’m not a good person. Whoops.” 📚
So even though I didn't like the sex scenes (this kink is not my cup of tea 🤷♀️) nor the open ending, because it turns out that the plot continues in the next book – even though it's about different characters (where's my epilogue, Geissinger?! 😜) But I enjoyed it so much and just couldn't wait to get back to it every time I took a break… and that just says it all. 🩶
This is the second book in the series, and although each book is about different characters – it is recommended to read them in order. 🔥

היא ממש לא מפחדת מהחוטפים שלה ויודעת ללחוץ להם על כל הכפתורים, ובמיוחד של דקלן.
דקלן אמור היה לחטוף את סלואן ולהעביר אותה לבוס שלו, אבל כשהוא הופך לפתע לבוס החדש, החיים של שניהם נמצאים בסכנה גדולה. 💥
אבל ככל שהם מתקרבים, הסודות שלו הם מה שיכולים להפריד ביניהם… 🩶

אני ממש, אבל ממש לא אוהבת לקרוא ספרים שיש בהם BDSM. אז איך בכל זאת הספר הזה קיבל ממני 5 כוכבים…? או, שאלה נהדרת! 😂
יש בו גיבורים בוגרים ומנוסים (סוף סוף לא עוד ילדונת בתולה ומסכנה)… דמות נשית הכי לא שגרתית שיש – חיובית ואופטימית, וגם חצופה עם פה גדול… יש בו דמות גברית אלפא מאפיונרית עם מבטא אירי (אוחחח האודיו 🔥) והרבה סודות בשרוול… יש בו ייצוג מושלם של 'הפכים נמשכים', וגם… יש בעלילה טוויסט מעולה (בחיי שלא צפיתי אותו מגיע!) 💪
ובנוסף, הריבים, הוויכוחים וההתנצחויות בין הדמויות היו נהדרים – ואני מתכוונת לפרקים שלמים בהם התפוצצתי מצחוק מתגלגל בקולי קולות!!! דבר שלא קרה לי מאז הספר "מר סוואגר" (של קים ג'ונס). 😂

אז אמנם לא אהבתי את סצנות הסקס (אין מה לעשות, הקינק הזה הוא פשוט לא בשבילי 🤷♀️) וגם לא את הסוף הפתוח של הספר, כי מסתבר שהעלילה ממשיכה בספר הבא – למרות שהוא בכלל על דמויות אחרות (איפה האפילוג שלי, גברת סופרת?! 😜) אבל כל כך נהניתי ורק חיכיתי לחזור אליו בכל פעם שעשיתי הפסקה… שזה פשוט אומר הכל. 🩶
זה הספר השני בסדרה, ואמנם כל ספר הוא על דמויות אחרות – אבל מומלץ לקרוא אותם לפי הסדר. 🔥
