Two men… one Olympic medal. 🏅
Isaac and Foster are two world-class skiers – one is the rising star in the US team and the other is a Canadian world champion, who wants to win another title. 💪
The two men's paths cross on their way to the ultimate world stage, the Beijing Olympics. Along the way, they'll try to win a prize even greater than the gold medal… LOVE. ❤️
I loved the special setting, I haven't read about skiers before and it was totally refreshing. ❄️
I loved the writing (this is the author's first book I've read, and it definitely won't be the last). ❤️
I loved the way their sweet relationship developed and especially the spice scenes – which were really, really spicy!!! And I loved how each of them felt comfortable enough to give up their power for the other, outside and especially inside the bedroom. 🔥🔥🔥
📚 "I don't want you to do anything but love me. To love me without ifs and whens. Just an all-consuming love that you can't bear to live without. Because no matter what happens tomorrow, if we have that, we both win." 📚
However, many parts of the story made no sense. For example, Isaac's participation in the Olympics included training with a professional coach for a period of only about a month. Maybe I don't understand much about skiing, but the Olympics requires more extensive training… doesn't it? 🤔
But mostly, I didn't understand Isaac's fear of people finding out his secret. I waited to find out what he was hiding, and when I finally did, I scratched my head in confusion and said "Seriously? That's it…?" 🤦♀️
Plus, Foster's reaction to the secret was very exaggerated and felt like a way to create unnecessary drama in the story. 🙈
In addition to that, the reaction of the heroes to the results of the Olympics were not really believable. After all, they are athletes competing against each other in the most important competition in the world… But I didn't really mind, because this scene totally made me smile. 😂❤️
All in all, it's a quick, touching, and very sweet read (that will absolutely make you blush when you get to the bedroom scenes). 🌶
Although this is the second book in the series, it can definitely be read as a standalone (I haven't read the first book) ❤️❄️
• I listened to the audiobook, which was cute. The narrator definitely did a good job, but he voiced both characters, so sometimes I got confused and had to go back to remind myself who's POV I'm listening to…

אייזק ופוסטר הם שני גולשי סקי ברמה עולמית – אחד הוא הכוכב העולה של נבחרת ארה"ב והשני כבר אלוף עולם קנדי, שרוצה לזכות בתואר נוסף. 💪
הדרכים של שני הגברים מצטלבות בדרכם אל הבמה העולמית האולטימטיבית, אולימפיאדת בייג'ינג. בדרך, הם ינסו לזכות בפרס אפילו גדול יותר ממדליית הזהב… לזכות באהבה. ❤️
אהבתי את התפאורה המיוחדת, עוד לא קראתי על גולשי סקי בעבר וזה היה לגמרי מרענן. ❄️
אהבתי את הכתיבה (זה הספר הראשון של הסופר שקראתי, ולגמרי לא יהיה האחרון). ❤️
אהבתי את הדרך בה הקשר המתוק שלהם התפתח ובמיוחד את סצנות הספייס – שהיו ממש ממש מלאות בספייס!!! ואהבתי איך כל אחד מהם הרגיש בטוח מספיק כדי לוותר על הכוח שלו עבור השני, מחוץ ובעיקר בתוך חדר השינה. 🔥🔥🔥

מה שכן, הרבה חלקים בסיפור היו חסרי היגיון. למשל, ההשתתפות של אייזק באולימליאדה כללה אימון עם מאמנת מקצועית לתקופה של כחודש בלבד. אולי אני לא מבינה גדולה בסקי, אבל השתתפות באולימפיאדה דורשת הכשרה מקיפה יותר… לא? 🤔
אבל בעיקר, לא הבנתי את הפחד של אייזק שאנשים יגלו את הסוד שלו. חיכיתי להבין מה הוא מסתיר, וכשסוף סוף גיליתי, גירדתי את ראשי בבלבול ואמרתי "ברצינות? זה כל הסיפור…?" 🤦♀️
ובכלל, התגובה של פוסטר לסוד הייתה מאוד מוגזמת והרגישה כמו סתם דרך לייצר דרמה מיותרת. 🙈
בנוסף, התגובה של הגיבורים לתוצאות האולימפיאדה לא היו ממש אמינות. בכל זאת, הם ספורטאים המתחרים אחד נגד השני בתחרות הכי חשובה בעולם… אבל זה לא ממש הפריע לי, כי הסצנה הזו לגמרי גרמה לי לחייך. 😂❤️
לסיכום, זו קריאה מהירה, מרגשת ומתוקה מאוד (שלגמרי תגרום לכם להסמיק כשתגיעו לסצנות בחדר השינה). 🌶
זה אמנם הספר השני בסדרה, אך בהחלט אפשר לקרוא אותו כבודד (לא קראתי את הספר הראשון) ❤️❄️
• הספר זמין כרגע באנגלית בלבד. 🔤
• הקשבתי לספר באודיו, שהיה מתוק. הקריין בהחלט עשה עבודה טובה, אך הוא קריין את שתי הדמויות, אז לפעמים התבלבלתי והייתי צריכה לחזור אחורה כדי להיזכר מי הדמות הראשית של נקודת המבט בפרק…
