Noemí Taboada is a young woman from a wealthy family from Mexico City who likes to have fun. She was sent by her father to an old and dilapidated mansion filled with dark secrets after he receives a letter from her cousin, Catalina, in which she begs for help because she fears that her husband, Virgil Doyle, intends to kill her. 😱
Noemí tries to get her cousin different medical help than she gets from the Doyle's family doctor, but the longer she's there, she too begins to have strange dreams and visions… 💀
What the hell is going on in this house? What is the Doyle's family hiding? And can Noemí get her cousin to leave?? 🖤🖤🖤

Hallucination mushrooms, incest, human sacrifice, curses and ghosts… there is no better book to read on Halloween! 😂

When I started it, in the first third of the book, I didn't understand what the fuss was about… but after that? Each chapter was scarier, more stressful and creepier than the previous one! 😱
I liked the construction of the plot, which was amazing and well written. What I didn't like, is that the last chapter seemed too rushed, and I didn't completely like the ending either, but I won't go into details so as not to give spoilers. 💀

If you feel like to read something that will make you cringe with fear (in the best way), I totally recommend this book! 🖤

I listened to the audio version (which was great, but I expected the narrator to have more of a Mexican accent, in line with the characters.).
Narrated by Frankie Corzo. 🎧

פטריות הזייה, גילויי עריות, הקרבה אנושית, קללות ורוחות רפאים… אין ספר שמתאים יותר לקריאה בליל כל הקדושים! 😂

כשהתחלתי אותו, לאורך כל השליש הראשון, לא הבנתי על מה המהומה… אבל אחר כך? כל פרק היה מפחיד, מלחיץ וקריפי יותר מקודמו! 😱
אהבתי את בניית העלילה המעולה, הספר כתוב היטב ובצורה מאוד מותחת. מה שלא אהבתי, הוא שהפרק האחרון היה מהיר מידי, וגם לא לגמרי אהבתי את הסוף, אבל לא אפרט כדי לא לתת ספויילרים. 💀

אז אם בא לכן לקרוא משהו שיגרום לכן להתכווץ מפחד (בצורה הטובה ביותר), אני לגמרי ממליצה על הספר הזה! 🖤
