לקריאת הסקירה בעברית – תגללו למטה!

Five years after her husband died in a tragic accident, Megan Dunn is unable to recover and even still wears her wedding ring. She decides to leave her home to fulfill their old dream and moves to a small beach town in Oregon, buys a small, old Victorian Inn in hopes of rebuilding her life. 💔

Megan decides to find another contractor, but no matter how hard she tries, they keep bumping into each other, and Megan is convinced it is a lot more than coincidence. 💥💥💥

Why doesn't Theo speak? Why is he so disgusted with Megan? And can a once-in-a-lifetime love get a second chance, or perhaps a broken heart is the cruelest liar? 💔

I must say that I almost stopped this book at the beginning, because I really did not like the narrator. She was completely robotic – but after a short break I went back to it, and I'm really glad I did (it's also important to note that the narrator really improved later on, so hold on! 😂).

This is an intelligent and original story about a second chance, fate, coincidence and love. 🥀
About life and death… the war between the head and the heart… about love that transcends time and space…

And even though I saw the twist coming, I'm still not sure if I hated or really loved the end of the book… 🤔
Without giving away spoilers, note that the book will not suit anyone who loves “logical and realistic” stories because it's kind of paranormal. 🥀

I listened to the audio version (which was very robotic at first, but got better later!).

תיאו ולנטיין מנהל את חברת הקבלנות הטובה ביותר באזור ולפני כמה שנים חייו השתנו לחלוטין לאחר שעבר תאונה קשה שהותירה אותו מצולק ושקט… הוא פשוט הפסיק לדבר. 🥀

תיאו אולי הטוב ביותר, אך ברור שהוא לא יכול לסבול להיות בסביבתה – ומשום מה למרות זאת, הוא נחוש בדעתו לקבל את החוזה.
מייגן מחליטה למצוא קבלן אחר, אך לא משנה כמה היא מנסה, הם ממשיכים להתקל אחד בשני בכל מקום, ולאט לאט מייגן משתכנעת שיש בו יותר ממה שנראה לעין וזה לא סתם מקריות. 💥💥💥

מדוע תיאו איננו מדבר? מדוע הוא כל כך סולד ממייגן? והאם אהבה של פעם בחיים יכולה לקבל הזדמנות שנייה, או שאולי לב שבור הוא השקרן האכזרי ביותר שיש? 💔

אני חייבת לציין שכמעט נטשתי את הספר די בהתחלה, כי ממש לא אהבתי את הקריינית. היא הייתה רובוטית לחלוטין – אבל אחרי הפסקה קצרה חזרתי אליו, ואני ממש שמחה שעשיתי את זה (חשוב גם לציין שבהמשך הקריינית לגמרי השתפרה, אז תחזיקו מעמד! 😂).

זהו סיפור אינטילגנטי ומקורי על הזדמנות שנייה, גורל, צירוף מקרים ואהבה. 🥀
על חיים ומוות… על המלחמה בין הראש ללב… על אהבה שמתעלה מעל זמן ומרחב…

ולמרות שצפיתי את הטוויסט, אני עדיין לא בטוחה אם שנאתי או ממש אהבתי את הסוף… 🤔
מבלי לתת לספויילרים, שימו לב שהספר לא יתאים למי שאוהבת סיפורים "הגיוניים ומציאותיים" כי הוא סוג של פאראנורמלי. 🥀
