לקריאת הסקירה בעברית – תגללו למטה!

Adrian has cancer. He knows that his wife, Nadia will stop living after he'll be gone, so he decides to set a plan to make her start living again, without him – and so, one year after his death, he continues to take care of her, even from his grave ("P.S. I love you" style) 😭

It's a story of overcoming and progressing, despite the pain. I brought myself a lot of tissue because I was sure I would need it.
It could have been EPIC… but unfortunately, it did not work for me. 😬

📚 "I love you more than fucking life itself, Nadia. Never forget that. Wherever… wherever I'm going, I'll love you there too." 📚

First of all – I knew Adrian would die thanks to the blurb, and it erased the emotional impact. Also, because I knew what was going to happen, the plot became less intriguing… and very much depressing. 🤦‍♀️
In addition, the story is told in several POV's, but it is not clear by who. I had to find out myself while reading – and it was super frustrating because I was busy trying to figure out who I was reading about – instead of what I was reading… 🙄
Also, I did not like the male character, Nathan, but well, he never had a chance after I fell so hard for Adrian… so it was unnecessary for me to know how Nathan and Nadia's story would end, because it's just didn't interest me enough. 😬

But what bothered me most was the writting style. So many unnecessary descriptions of the actions the characters did, a step-by-step breakdown of uninteresting and unimportant monotonous actions. I usually don't like to read the inner thoughts of the characters, but I really needed it here. Maybe that way I could have liked the characters more… 🤷‍♀️

אדריאן חולה בסרטן. הוא יודע שאישתו האהובה, נדיה, תפסיק לחיות אחרי שהוא ימות, אז הוא מחליט לקחת את הדברים לידיים שלו ויוצר תוכנית שתגרום לה לחיות שוב – וכך, שנה אחרי שנפטר, הוא ממשיך לדאוג לה, אפילו מהקבר (סוג של "נ.ב. אני אוהב אותך") 😭

זה סיפור על התגברות והתקדמות, למרות הכאב.
הכנתי המון טישו כי הייתי בטוחה שאצטרך.
הוא בהחלט יכול היה להיות אפי… אבל לצערי, הוא ממש לא עבד בשבילי. 😬

קודם כל – ידעתי שאדריאן ימות הודות לתקציר, וזה מחק את ההשפעה הרגשית. וגם, בגלל שידעתי מה הולך לקרות, העלילה הפכה לפחות מסקרנת… ומאוד מדכאת. 🤦‍♀️
בנוסף, הסיפור מסופר ע"י כמה דמויות, אבל לא ברור מי. הייתי צריכה לפענח את זה בעצמי בזמן הקריאה – וזה היה סופר מתסכל כי הייתי עסוקה בלנסות ולהבין על מי אני קוראת – ולא על מה שאני קוראת… 🙄
דבר נוסף, לא אהבתי את הדמות הגברית, נתן, אבל טוב נו, מעולם לא היה לו סיכוי אחרי שכל כך התאהבתי באדריאן… לכן זה היה עבורי מיותר לדעת איך הסיפור של נתן ונדיה ייגמר, כי הוא פשוט לא עניין אותי מספיק. 😬

אבל מה שהכי הפריע לי הוא סגנון הכתיבה. כל כך הרבה תיאורים מיותרים של פעולות שהדמויות עשו, פירוט של צער אחרי צעד לפעולות מונוטוניות לא מעניינות ולא חשובות. בדרך כלל אני לא אוהבת לקרוא על המחשבות הפנימיות של הדמויות, אבל כאן זה ממש היה חסר לי. אולי כך הייתי יכולה להתחבר לדמויות ולחבב אותם יותר… 🤷‍♀️
