Amie Knight has been a reader for as long as she could remember and a romance lover since she could get her hands on her momma's books. A dedicated wife and mother with a love of music and makeup, she wonโ€™t ever be seen leaving the house without her eyebrows and eyelashes done just right. When she isn't reading and writing, you can catch her jamming out in the car with her two kids to '90s R&B, country, and showtunes. Amie draws inspiration from her childhood in Columbia, South Carolina, and can't imagine living anywhere other than the South.

We are so excited to have you in our 'Ask our favorite author' questionnaire!

1. Could you start off by telling us a little bit about your new release, "The First Score"?
The first Score is the second book in my Summerville Sports Series. They can all be read as standalones. The First Score is pretty fun. It has football, small town feels, and it's a friends to lovers romance that spans a lifetime. It's also best friend's brother. ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. Describe a normal working day – how many hours a day do you write? Where is your favorite place to write?
I work whenever I can. I have two little ones and with everything going on in the world and them not being at school, I get words in whenever possible. Usually in the morning, after feeding my kiddos breakfast, I work on admin stuff and then after lunch I jump into words for a few hours. After dinner and spending family time with a movie or board games, I stay up late trying to get more words. I have a really nice office that I love to write in but eventually I migrate out to the corner position of our sectional couch just so I can be around the kids for a bit while I write.

3. Share something your readers wouldnโ€™t know about you.
I love plants almost as much as I love romance books. I have a ton of plants and succulents all throughout my house and I spend a good hour a day taking care of them.

4. Have you always wanted to be a writer? If you didnโ€™t write, what would you do for work?
I've always loved writing. I had an amazing teacher in 6th grade that really encouraged my love for it. I never for a second thought that I would be able to do it for a living so this seems like a dream job. If I didn't write, I'd probably work in a makeup store or work somewhere I could be around plants all day. I believe in doing something that makes you happy. And all of the above listed make me beyond happy. I'm so blessed that I get to do what I love.

5. How many books have you published? And how many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
I've published 8 full length novels and 2 novellas that I co-wrote with a friend. I have one and a half non-published works on the table right now.

6. Your covers are AMAZING! How do you choose your covers?
Basically, I have a brilliant cover designer. Hang Le is an amazing graphic artist and we just click. I usually tell her about my book a little and what ideas I have and she comes back to me with a beautiful cover. And I'm always in awe. She just understands me and gets me. It's a match made in heaven.

7. Who are your go-to authors?
Gah, I have so many. I've been reading romance since I was twelve years old, so I have a long list, but some of my favorite indies are Mariana Zapata, Aly Martinez, LH Cosway, Penny Reid, Kristen Ashley, Gena Showlater (Trad Published), Jewel E Ann, and RK Lilley.

8. Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?
I do. I read my reviews, but I've learned that not everyone is going to like everything I write and that is okay. We are all entitled to our opinions.

9. The last book translated into Hebrew was "An Imperfect Heart" .If you need to choose, which one should be the next to be translated?
I'd love to have The Stars Duet translated. I think everyone would love them. They are very swoony and romantic and some of my favorite moments I've ever written are in those books.

10. Finally, Tell us about your future project – What can you share about it?
Right now I'm working on a book for Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's Cocky World and let me tell you, this book is so fun! I can't wait for everyone to read Bad Boy Billionaire. Next up, I think I'm going to take it back and do something I thought I would never do. I want to write a fourth book in The Heart Series. There was someone in Holden and Miranda's story (A Steel Heart) that never got her HEA and I am desperate to give her one. I also want to finish up The Summerville Sports Series with Mason's book. People have been begging for it and it's going to be so good. I can't wait!
