books are a journey… some will make us laugh, some will make us cry and some will make us experience all kind of emotions – like a roller coaster ride with loose brakes that we just know that at any given moment, it could all end in a disaster! 😱

In real life these feelings are a bit dangerous (we prefer boring, thank you very much! 😂) But when we come across a book that makes us feel that way…? It's the best feeling in the world!!! ❤🙈🎉

🎢 Cruel and Beautiful by A.M. Hargrove & Terri E. Laine
Nothing prepared us for what we experienced with this book!!! It made us laugh, cry and fall in love. To say we were surprised would be an understatement… but one thing is for sure, we will never forget this book!
Like its name, the story is cruel and beautiful, unlike any book we've read before… A few months have passed and we are still thinking about its surprising plot, which left us speechless.
By the way… it's based on a true story. BOOM!!! 💣

🎢 A Love Letter to Whiskey by Kandi Steiner
Have you ever read a book that made you angry – but at the same time you couldn't stop reading it…? So, this book.
Even when we wanted to throw our Kindles on a wall out of frustration – like addicts, we couldn't help but steal just another word… another chapter… the writing was amazing – intoxicating, addictive.
This is a story about indecision, selfishness, pain and a huge love that breaks boundaries and leaves a trail of destruction! Our heart was pounding till the last word because we just couldn't guess how it would end. 🔥

🎢 Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher
This is a psychological romance that will make you THINK and FEEL.
It's different, but ingenious… difficult, but fascinating… heart clenching, but wonderful… It's not standard, but beautifully written… It didn't make much sense, but was so special – and it completely undermine us!
We didn't decide yet if we liked or hated the story, but it was the kind of books we know we'll never be able to read again – and at the same time, NEVER FORGET! 🎠

🎢 No Tomorrow by Carian Cole
This is not a sticky love story with rainbows and unicorns. It's a story about coping and demons. It's twisted and destructive – but that's what made it so real and special… and the twist will leave you with your jaw on the floor!
It won't be an easy journey, it will be long and complicated. But it will be worth it. 💛

🎢 Lost in the Affair by E.K. Blair
Okay, what the hell happened here?!
We finished this book with so many emotions… our heart broke into a million pieces and our brain became mush. Even when we felt frustrated, angry and wanted to shake the heroin until she got a mild (ish) concussion – we couldn't leave this book!!!!
We felt like two creeps standing behind a curtain, listening to a private conversations that we really have no right to hear…
And the end? Oh, the end. SHOCKING. 😱

🎢 All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover
What do you do when there's lots of love, but its not enough to stay together…? This book broke and healed and broke and healed our hearts over and over again.
Oh God, it was like an emotional punch to the gut. We won't lie, it was also a bit depressing, but it was much more than a love story and it will make you feel ALL the FEELS – and this is, for us, a testament to an excellent book! 💔

🎢 The Life That Mattered by Jewel E. Ann
This book has it all: romance, humor, mystery, hot chemistry… and one perfect hero! Jewel has written an AMAZING story that will melt your heart and play with your head, with the addition of an "unrealistic" element and a plot so original that will completely take you out of your comfort zone. The story is sexy, mature (almost always) and very moving… until … BOOM!!!
With great power comes great responsibility – either you can save the world or you can save yourself. But how do you choose which life is more important…? 🔥

🎢 Kill Switch by Penelope Douglas
This is a story about an anti-hero and a blind ballerina, do we need to say more…?
Damon Torrance is such an anti-hero, we did not believe Penelope would be able to redeem his character… not to mention make us LIKE him! He's always hiding, always watching… like a real predator. But he doesn't want his prey to be waiting for him on a plate, he wants to hunt it down – and Winter is his ultimate prey.
This book was a fucking roller coaster of emotions! Unexpected, painful, dark (but also quite romantic in a twisted way) and oh, SO HOT!!! (Although… believe it or not, it was a Slow Born) 💥

🎢 Heartbreak Warfare by Heather M. Orgeron & Kate Stewart
A good book is one that will make us think about it even after it's over – and that's exactly what will happen to you with this book. It will make you laugh… cry… and it will break your heart, at least a thousand times!
This is not just a story about forbidden love, but love that has no boundaries… about choices and their meaning. It will tear you to pieces and leave you on the edge, til the last word! 💔

🎢 Naked or Dead by A.E. Murphy
This book is a real roller coaster – with a twist from hell. It took us a long time to digest this plot or even form an opinion about it – we were so surprised!!!
When we started reading, we had no idea what was going to happen or how it would end, and so, what we thought would be a bully story with a bit of suspense – became a psychological thriller with twists that we're still not sure if they were super genius or super dumb…

🎢 Full Tilt by Emma Scott
We thought it was going to be a romantic story about a woman rock star and a "normal" man – instead, our heart broke into a million pieces. Luckily, the second book in the duet fixed it and reminded us that even in the most difficult moments, love can heal everything!
This is one of those books that will shake your heart, hurts your stomach and evokes a lot of emotions even after you finish reading it – and it will remind you to appreciate the simple moments, that we take for granted. 💙

🎢 The Devil by Ashley Jade
Do you know this moment when you finish a book, look around and see that everyone goes on with their lifes as usual, as if nothing happened, and only you are still in shock – experiencing emotional trauma because of a book? this is the book!!!!!
It's a crazy story about heartbreak, betrayal, obsession, lies and a strong need for revenge. What started as a taboo romance, evolved into a mysterious and dark plot that will knock your jaws off! It will confuse you, make you explore your sanity, sexuality and reality!
The characters are complex, the plot is dirty – and the whole book is a satanic work of art! Every time we thought we knew what was going to happen, everything turned and left us on the end of our seat – til the last word! 😈

יום רכבת ההרים הבינלאומי, 16.8 🎢

ספר הוא מסע שלם… יש מסעות שיגרמו לנו לצחוק, יש שיגרמו לנו לבכות ויש שיגרמו לנו לחוות את כל הרגשות באופן עוצמתי ומטלטל – כמו נסיעה ברכבת הרים עם בלמים רופפים שאנחנו פשוט יודעות שבכל רגע נתון, הכל יגמר באסון! 😱

בחיים האמיתיים הרגשות האלו קצת מסוכנים (אנחנו מעדיפות משעמם, תודה רבה! 😂) אבל כאשר אנחנו נתקלות בספר שגורם לנו להרגיש כך…? זו ההרגשה הכי טובה בעולם!!! ❤🙈🎉

אז לכבוד 'יום רכבת ההרים הבינלאומי' שמתקיים היום, Booknof ואני הכנו לכן רשימת ספרים שהקריאה בהם לגמרי מרגישה כמו נסיעה ברכבת הרים מטורפת! 💥

שום דבר לא הכין אותנו למה שחווינו עם הספר הזה!!! הוא גרם לנו לצחוק, לבכות ולהתאהב. לומר שהופתענו תהיה לשון המעטה… אבל דבר אחד בטוח, לעולם לא נשכח אותו!
בהתאם לשמו, הסיפור עצמו אכזרי ויפה, בלתי נשכח ולא דומה לשום ספר שקראנו עד היום… עברו כמה חודשים ואנחנו עדיין חושבות על העלילה המפתיעה שלו, שהשאירה אותנו בלי מילים.
דרך אגב… הוא מבוסס על סיפור אמיתי. בום!!! 💣

האם אי פעם קראתם ספר שגרם לכם לכעוס – ובו זמנית לא יכולתם להפסיק לקרוא אותו…? אז זה בדיוק הספר הזה.
גם כשרצינו לזרוק את הקינדל על הקיר מרוב תסכול – כמו מכורות לאלכוהול, לא יכולנו שלא לגנוב רק עוד שלוק… עוד פרק… כי הכתיבה הייתה מדהימה – משכרת, ממכרת.
זהו סיפור על חוסר החלטיות, אנוכיות, כאב ואהבה ענקית שפורצת גבולות ומותירה שובל של הרס! הלב שלנו דפק עד המילה האחרונה, כי פשוט לא הצלחנו לנחש איך הוא ייגמר. 🔥

זהו רומן פסיכולוג שיגרם לכם לחשוב ולהרגיש. הוא שונה, אבל גאוני… קשה, אבל מרתק… הופך את הבטן, אבל מופלא… לא סטנדרטי, אבל כתוב מעולה… לא הגיוני בעליל, אבל כל כך מיוחד… והוא הצליח לערער אותנו לגמרי!
עדיין לא החלטנו אם אהבנו או שנאנו את העלילה, אבל מה שבטוח, הוא מסוג הספרים שלעולם לא נוכל לקרוא שוב – ובו זמנית, לעולם לא נשכח!!! 🎠

זה לא סיפור אהבה דביק עם קשת בענן וחדי קרן. זה סיפור על התמודדות ושדים. הוא גס, מעוות והרסני – אבל זה מה שהפך אותו לכל כך אמיתי ומיוחד… והטוויסט שלו ישאיר אתכן עם הלסת על הרצפה!
זה לא יהיה מסע קל, הוא אפילו יהיה ארוך ומסורבל. אבל הוא יהיה שווה את זה. 💛

אוקיי, מה לעזאזל קרה פה?!
סיימנו את הספר עם כל כך הרבה רגשות… הלב שלנו נשבר למיליון רסיסים ומוח שלנו הפך לעיסה. גם כאשר הרגשנו תסכול, כעס ורצינו לנענע את הגיבורה עד שתקבל זעזוע מוח קל (עד בינוני) – לא יכולנו לעזוב את הספר!!!!
הרגשנו כמו מציצניות שעומדות מאחורי וילון ומקשיבות לשיחות פרטיות של אחרים בתוך ביתם, שממש אין לנו זכות לשמוע…
והסוף? אוי, הסוף. ה-ל-ם. 😱

מה עושים כאשר יש המון אהבה, אבל היא לא מספיקה בשביל להישאר יחד…? הספר הזה שבר וריפא ושבר וריפא לנו את הלב שוב ושוב.
הו אלוהים, הוא היה כמו אגרוף רגשי לתוך הבטן. לא נשקר, הוא גם קצת מדכא, אבל יש בו הרבה מעבר לסיפור אהבה והוא יגרום לכם להרגיש את כל התחושות האפשריות בזמן הקריאה – וזו מבחינתנו, עדות לספר מעולה! 💔

יש פה כל מה שאפשר לקוות מספר: רומנטיקה, הומור, מסתורין, כימיה לוהטת… וגיבור אחד מווושלם! ג'ול כתבה סיפור גאוני שימיס לכם את הלב וישחק לכם עם הראש, בתוספת אלמנט "לא מציאותי" ועלילה כל כך מקורית שלגמרי תוציא אתכם מאיזור הנוחות. העלילה סקסית, בוגרת (כמעט תמיד) ומאוד מרגשת… עד ש… בוםםםם!!!
עם כוח גדול מגיעה אחריות גדולה – או שאתה יכול להציל את העולם או שאתה יכול להציל את עצמך. אבל איך בוחרים איזה חיים חשובים יותר ואיזה פחות…? 🔥

זה סיפור על אנטי גיבור ובלרינה עיוורת. זהו. זה אומר הכל, לא?
דיימון טורנס הוא כזה אנטי גיבור, עד שלא האמנו שפנלופה תצליח לגאול את הדמות שלו… שלא לדבר על לגרום לנו לחבב אותו! הוא תמיד מתחבא, תמיד צופה… כמו חיית טרף אמיתית. אבל הוא לא מוכן שהטרף יחכה לו בצלחת, הוא חייב לצוד אותו – לכן וינטר היא הטרף האולטימטיבי.
הספר הזה היה פאקינג רכבת הרים של רגשות! לא צפוי, כואב, אפל (אבל גם דיי רומנטי בצורה מעוותת ) ואוי, כל כך לוהט!!! (למרות ש… תאמינו או לא, אבל הוא סלואו בורן) 💥

כשהתחלנו לקרוא, לא היה לנו מושג מה עומד לקרות או איך הוא ייגמר, וכך, מה שחשבנו שיהיה סיפור 'בולי' עם מעט מתח – הפך למותחן פסיכולוגי עם טוויסט שאנחנו עדיין לא בטוחות אם היה סופר גאוני או סופר מטומטם…. נעדכן בהמשך! חחח 💘

חשבנו שזה הולך להיות סיפור רומנטי על כוכבת רוק וגבר "רגיל" – במקום, הלב שלנו נשבר למיליון חתיכות. למזלנו, הספר השני בדואט תיקן אותו והזכיר שגם ברגעים הכי קשים, אהבה יכולה לרפא את השברים!
הדואט הזה הוא מסוג הספרים שמרטיטים את הלב, מכאיבים בבטן ומעוררים המון רגשות גם אחרי שמסיימים לקרוא אותו – והוא יזכיר לכם להעריך את הרגעים הקטנים שאנחנו לוקחים כמובן מאליו. 💙
