שרון דיוויס היא בלשית משטרה הממונה על התיק, ובחיפושיה אחר הרוצח הסדרתי המסוכן, היא מגיעה עד לקלי דנס, עורכת מגזין האופנה המצליח, "יופי פנימי" ומגלה שהסוד לפתרון קשור לדוגמנית העל המהממת, גלוריה מקינטייר – אבל כיצד הנשים האלו קשורות אחת לשנייה…? 💥
תככים בגידות, קינאה… האם שרון תצליח לפתור את התעלומה לפני שיתגלה הקורבן הבא? 😱
זהו מותחן פסיכולוגי אפל, עם נגיעה קלה של רומנטיקה ומלא בטוויסטים מפתיעים! 💣
הכוח הנשי בהחלט שולט בספר – הסופרת, הבלשית, הקורבנות ואפילו הרוצחת – כולן נשים. זה אחד הדברים שהכי אהבתי, כי אין הרבה ספרי מתח עם נוכחות נשית כל כך חזקה. 💪
בנוסף, בשונה ממותחנים אחרים, אהבתי שלא צריך לחכות עד סוף הספר כדי לגלות מיהו הרוצח (בערך… חחח), הדבר היחיד שיש להבין הוא הסיבה.
הסיפור מסקרן והכתיבה מרתקת, עם המון הומור ציני ותיאורים גרפיים שלגמרי גרמו לי להרגיש חלק מהעלילה. אמנם היו המון פרקים, אבל הם היו קצרים וכמעט כולם נגמרו בגילוי מפתיע. 💥
לדנה מויסון יש דמיון מדהים… למען האמת, אני עדיין קצת בהלם שהיא יצרה כזו דמות מטורפת (פסיכופתית על כל הראש!) ואני אפילו קצת מפחדת ממנה בגלל זה… 😂
הסיבה שנתתי לספר 4 כוכבים היא שלקח לי כמה פרקים כדי להתחבר לסיפור… בנוסף, בגלל שהספר כתוב בגוף שלישי ובגלל כמות הדמויות בו, היו כמה חלקים שנאלצתי לחזור אחורה ולשמוע שוב, כדי להבין מי מהדמויות מדברת.
לגמרי נהניתי מהספר! הוא הזכיר לי את תוכנית הטלוויזיה "מחשבות פליליות", אז אם אתן אוהבות מותחנים פסיכולוגיים מפתיעים ומעוררי מחשבה, זה בהחלט הספר בשבילכן! 💥
הקשבתי לו באודיו – והקריינית (היידן בישופ) הייתה מעולה! היא הצליחה להעביר את הרגשות של כל דמות בצורה אפית. אפילו הייתי אומרת שהיא לקחה את התפקיד כמה צעדים קדימה, כי לא פעם מצאתי את עצמי קופצת בבהלה ואפילו צווחת בקול בגללה! 😂😂😂

This is a dark psychological thriller, with a light touch of romance and full of surprising twists! 💣
There is a female power dominating this book – the writer, the detective, the victims and even the murderer – they're all women. That's one of the things I loved most, because there aren't many thrillers with such a strong female presence. 💪
Additionally, unlike other thrillers, I loved not having to wait until the end of the book to find out who the murderer is (sort of…), the only thing that needs to be solved is the REASON.
The story was intriguing and the writing was fascinating with lots of cynical humor and graphic descriptions that totally made me feel part of the plot. While there were a lot of chapters, they were short and almost each one of them ended with a surprising discovery. 💥
The author has a great imagination. to be honest, I'm still a little shocked she created such a crazy character (psychopathic AF!!) and I'm even a little scared of her because of it… 😂
The reason I gave this book 4 stars is because it took me a few chapters to get into the story… And because the book was written in a third person perspective and the number of characters in it, there were some parts that I had to go back and listen again, to understand which of the characters was talking.
I loved it! This book totally reminded me of the TV show "Criminal Minds", so if you like surprising and thought-provoking psychological thrillers, you should totally read this book! 💥
I listened to an audio – and the narrator (Hayden Bishop) was awesome. She managed to convey each character's emotions in an epic way. I would even say she took her role a few steps ahead, because I often found myself jumping in panic and even screaming out loud because of her! 😂😂😂
